Earth changes people. In the pursuit of encouraging access to public lands, whose responsibility is it to protect the ground that shapes us?
Through the voices of runners and advocates, the film “The Earth Beneath Our Feet” follows Krissy Moehl, Runners for Public Lands (RPL), and KEEN as we work to expand access to the outdoors and protect the places that shape who we become. This story is part of the Game On series, presented by Laureus Sport for Good and produced by BBC StoryWorks and is set in the trails of Ventura, California. The film explores how trail running can inspire stewardship and how a shared belief that nature should be accessible to everyone has grown into a partnership that turns purpose into action.
“We really believe that outside is for everyone,” says Scott Robertson, part of the team behind KEEN Trail Running. “So with our partnership with RPL, we’re using our position in the industry and our megaphone to help amplify their mission of protecting public lands and increasing access to nature.”
