Some workdays you move so much, it feels like you ran a marathon. Depending on your job, it might feel like that every day — and you don’t even have to be constantly moving to feel it at the end of a shift. Spending eight to 10 hours on your feet on a shop floor or in a warehouse can be really exhausting. That kind of work puts a lot of strain on your feet. What you need are the right pair of work shoes for your job.
Introducing the Arvada, KEEN Utility’s latest work sneaker with safety toes that fits and feels like an athletic shoe you can wear all day. Similar to the Vista Energy series, the Arvada is designed for jobs that require constant movement and long hours on your feet. They have a lightweight, breathable design with safety features that won’t weigh you down or hold you back when you’re on the clock.
It’s not just the features that give the Arvada its crossover athletic appeal. Inspired by both sneaker culture and the sporty, technical look of performance hiking footwear, the Arvada looks and feels like a work shoe you’re happy to wear at work and beyond. In other words, you don’t have to be like Mr. Rogers and put on your go-home shoes after clocking out.
The Do-It-All Work Sneaker
Are you on your feet 10 or more hours per day delivering packages, standing on a loading dock, or working in a warehouse? Do you log miles of steps every shift as a mobile maintenance worker or commercial mover? Are you accustomed to long periods of standing, moving around a shop floor, or walking back and forth between lots?
In every case, the Arvada is a great fit.
The Arvada supports your feet with a compression-resisting KEEN.ReGEN midsole that’s lighter than standard EVA foam and returns up to 50% energy with every step. After 10,000 steps in a day, you’ll notice the difference. It also comes with a removable insole that you can easily swap out for one of our specialty insoles designed to provide custom arch support. The sneaker-like upper combines abrasion-resistant synthetic materials with a breathable mesh liner to help your feet cool off in warm conditions.
Safety-wise, all Arvada models are equipped with asymmetrical carbon safety toes that function like steel toes but are 15% lighter. The oil- and slip-resistant rubber outsole provides dependable footing while the Electrical Hazard (EH) rating of 18kV provides a secondary source of protection in case of accidental contact with a live circuit. The work shoe also has reflective webbing to enhance visibility in low-light conditions.
Arvada Models
KEEN Utility offers the Arvada in a few different styles. For men, choose from the Arvada low top or a mid with a higher collar. The shoe is also available with an Electro Static Dissipative (ESD)-rated outsole, a feature that helps reduce the buildup of static electricity — especially useful if you work in the aerospace industry or in a chip-building facility.
The Arvada is also available for women in low-top and ESD-rated models. Designed for the size, shape, and biomechanics of women’s feet, they give hardworking women a work sneaker they can comfortably wear all day, on the clock and beyond.
Safety Meets Style
When looking for the right pair of work sneakers, we believe you shouldn’t have to sacrifice style for safety. With the Arvada, you get the industry-certified features you need to stay protected when you’re on the clock, plus a stylish and sporty look you can wear practically anywhere.
Between the Arvada and our other athletic work boots and shoes, KEEN Utility has the perfect fit for your active or light-industry job in manufacturing, maintenance, warehousing, delivery, and more. Whether you’re moving or standing, it’s our job to make the long hours you spend on your feet as comfortable as possible and help you feel fresh all shift.
