Men's TARGHEE III Waterproof Wide

$135.00

  • Size Guide
Please choose a size! Please choose an inseam!

Our iconic hiker brings an updated look to all-terrain adventures. We carried over the fit, durability, and performance of our award-winning Targhee hiking boot and took its rugged looks to a new dimension.

  • KEEN.Dry waterproof, breathable membrane
  • Leather mud shield offers resilient durability
  • Injected TPU heel-capture system for stability
  • ESS shank offers lightweight support
  • Resilient, internal shank
  • 4mm multi-directional lugs for traction
  • Cleansport NXT™ for natural odor control
  • Environmentally-preferred premium leather from LWG-certified tannery

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

  • Grossly Undersized!

This is my fourth pair of Keens. I've gone through two pairs of Braddock low steel toes, and one regular toe. I decided to venture out and try these because they looked appealing. Ordered in my usual 12 wide....they are a full inch short of my Braddocks, and are literally the narrowest "wide" shoe I've ever owned. Luckily for my dad, who wears an 11 regular width, says they fit perfect. That being said, they seem to be well built, and are a good looking shoe, disappointed I'm not able to wear them.

    Not a breathable shoe

    2

This is my second pair of keen shoes. The previous one lasted 7 years!. I also own two other pairs of Keen sandals. Disappointed with this Targhee shoe --it is not breathable, I sweat in my feet in winter and every time i wear the shoe it accumulates sweat. Also not as wide as the previous Keen I had.

    Tight Tighter and Tightest

The Targhee III Wide would be a great shoe except it is just too tight. I've tried different ways of tying them but they always get tighter the longer I wear them. I have only worn them on a few occasions but I have to take them off after a while because my feet get sore.

    Great fit

I picked the wide quite by accident and I'm glad I did! I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit (narrow heal but wide foot) and these fit perfectly. I've only worn these casually, so I don't know how they would hold up hiking etc., but I do like the construction and think they look sturdy enough for that.

    I wouldn't buy it again.

Although it's look is nice, It is not wide as it is described and I feel pain in my foot every time I use it.

Problem foot issues are NO match for Targhee III

I love these shoes. They are the remarkably supportive. Background: I wear 12 EEE and orthotics. One of my ankles (I'm not going to tell which one) "rolls," as the result of neurological challenges. My Targheee III are comfortable, and provide more support for my ankle than virtually any other shoes I wear. They are well-made, durable, and good looking enough that I've been wearing them perpetually. With my feet there are only a couple brands of shoes I wear, Allen-Edmonds, New Balance and Durham primarily. Keen has shot up the list with a bullet!

    Disappointed in Fit

    1

I have worn the Targhee II's for years now for hiking. The Targhee II's fit my wide foot well. I ordered the same size in the Targhee III, however; it is too short for my foot and nowhere near wide enough. The 12 does not come in a half size, and I am concerned the 13 may be too long. I don't want to pay for shipping 3 times so I guess I'll return to the Targhee II's.

Yes I would buy this shoe again

For me, the Targhee III wise is the best fitting Keen shoe I've owned. My feet are 4E and precious Keens I've owned have not been wide enough. These are still a little tight but the toe box is roomy. Keen arch support is great. Keen shoes tighten up when I walk and I haven't figured out a way to tie them to prevent that. Still the Targhee III is a great shoe!!

I would buy this product again and again

I purchased hikers for my daily 1 and 1/2 mile walks on rough gravel rode. Fit perfect right out of box. I also, got a pair of TARGHEE lll MID hikers to alternate depending on weather. Either one is very comfortable and supportive. The MID give more ankle support if you need. I ordered the wide in this style, all other shoes in D wideth. I will only buy Keen shoes in the future
