  • KEEN is overall a fantastic experience

I recieved these as a warranty replacement. The customer experience throughout the warranty process was terrific and I'll never buy Merrill shoes again. Oh, these are great hiking shoes!

    Very unimpressed

My first two pairs of Keens basically disintegrated. Purchased together, this model was one of them. Keen did replace them, but the second set of both pairs are doing the exact same melt down. I have bought shoes at discount dealers that have lasted longer!

    order 1/2 size up

    5

I ordered the size 10 and found they were a bit snug ... 10 is my regular size, no problem , I exchanged for a 10 1/2 and they fit great, I wore them all day today , first time , for a 10 hour shift, all on my feet and both me and the shoes did great, recommendation, order 1/2 size up and I usually wear wide, these come in normal width only , but the extra 1/2 size gave me the length and width I needed...

    I would try again

I like them, they look and feel great. A little bulky, but still great. I would give them 4.5 stars if I could because they are not quite 5 stars. I don't believe they are as water resistant as they could be, or at least my pair are not. For some reason, my left shoe allows moisture in near the laces, it's also colder on the left foot, I feel. These would totally be a great deal if you could grab them at a 15-20% discount. Overall, still a really great shoe. I hope they last me a long time.

Good customer service but shoe does not hold up

    1

I purchased a pair of these shoes in April 2018 and by July 2018 each shoe had holes and were separating from the sole. Keen has a great warranty department that are fast and easy to work with, I replaced that pair with a new pair of Targhee EXP hoping that the first was a defective pair. I started wearing the replacement pair in September 2018 and now at the beginning of February 2019 I'm seeing new holes begin to form on this pair as well. I manage a park so I spend part of my time indoors and part of it outdoors and would say that I have used these shoes normally. I'm very disappointed in the product and will probably steer clear of Keens going forwards. To their credit, the customer service was great and the warranty was fair but I'm still going to be stuck with unwearable shoes very soon.

Comfortable shoe, but lasted 4 months.

I am in Pest Control. I walk on pavement and grass all day. I wear these shoes 4 days a week. I had a pair of Durand low shoes that I hated at first then grew to love. They lasted me a year and a half. Of course Keen discontinues them for some unknown reason. Enter the Targhee EXP, These were a rare find in that they were comfortable and fit perfect from day one. After about 4 months, there was barely any tread left on the front half of the shoe. 6 months and they were flat and smooth. 8 months and they have a crack and leak. Such a shame as I loved how comfortable and breathable they are, but sure didn't last very long and at the price, it's a low-down-crying-shame. Come on Keen, how about some durability please!

Okay shoe, hope it fits the need I have

Finally had a chance to try these on and found that it runs a half-size smaller than my KEEN Austins, but similar to the Pyrennes. The shoes initially feel really stiff, which was a surprise. There was very little give to the uppers, which coupled with a rather high ankle opening had me concerned about long-term comfort. After wearing around the house for a couple of days, that seems to be a little better. Took the first short hike in them today--they are definitely waterproof and seemed to grip the sloppy mud and wet rocks and roots well enough. Any previous discomfort seems to have disappeared and I hope it stays that way. They will probably work for short hikes/dog walks and wearing around for errands and casual days at work.

Love the shoes. I bought them for disc golf and they have helped tremendously! No more wet feet and extremely good grip. Only complaint is kinda hurts the top of my foot after an hour of use.

Great hiking shoe I just went on a short hike to Cape Flattery. Good grippy sole and a good solid footing. I can't wait to hike a lot more with them
