  • Fit Guide
Please choose a size!

The perfect gift for guys who love the outdoors, this updated trail shoe takes the immediate comfort of the original Targhee and fuses it with a bold, streamlined design. It's breathable and supportive, and the all-terrain outsole adds stability.

  • KEEN.Dry® waterproof, breathable membrane
  • Resilient, internal nylon shank
  • Leather mud shield offers resilient durability
  • Reinforced eyelets for easy adjustment
  • Injected TPU heel-capture system for stability
  • ESS shank offers lightweight support

Gently brush the shoe with a soft bristle brush or hand towel to remove loose dirt and debris. Stains can be treated by lightly rubbing a gum eraser in a circular motion over the location and lightly brushing afterwards. Tough stains can be treated with a mixture of water and a little vinegar on a damp cloth. This process may cause slight discoloration to the area.

...The left shoe was made "wonky"...only word that accurately describes it.
When I walked in these my right foot planted flat and true, but the left foot planted with major supination...so instead of a neutral positioning in the shoe, my foot was forced to the inner edge.

Looking at the shoes from above while standing and walking, the above phenomena was very apparent, as well as a cantered appearance of the left upper, as compared to the right.

Now before any of you start explaining foot dynamics to me, know that this is my 8th pair of Keens to include hiking boots/shoes and work boots, so I know how they should fit, feel and especially feel on my feet.

I think this defective pair floated through the Q&A process unnoticed. Especially since I tried the same shoes (in another color) on in my local REI and experienced no problems at all.
I ordered them here, because the Raven/Burnt Ocher wasn't an option at REI and Keen.com offered a $10 discount.

All that said, this is a great looking shoe and was comfortable standing and even walking around the house.
My concern was that the poor/off construction of the left shoe, would quickly cause ankle/knee/hip issues with normal outside and trail use.

    They are being returned.

This shoe fits fine and is comfortable enough, but they don't have the quality of their predecessors. While the shank is stiff, the sole seems soft. Honestly, I prefer the previous version...

Solid design but worried about the durability of lacing loop

      By

Top lacing loop seems like it will rip apart prematurely due to the laces cutting the material, not nearly as heavy as all the other lacing loops on the shoe. Seems to me that a simple eyelet would have been much stronger. What were those shoe designers thinking?
Shoes fit well and are nice balance of great support without being too stiff.

This is my first pair of Keen shoes.

Casual use around town and on local easy trails. The Targahee Cascade fits my x wide feet. The sides give moderate ankle support. My only complaint is I really wanted a shoe with bungee cord laces.
