Comments about Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

Bought them on sale to use this winter. Came promptly, and looked good in the box. Put them on and wore them in the house a little to check the fit. Felt good.

    Beats cold Colorado winters!

    By

    from Steamboat Springs, CO

    Pros

    • Great grip on snow and ice
    • Warm, light, comfortable

    Cons

    • A pain to lace up

    Best Uses

    • All day warmth if you're moving around

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

Super warm, light, grippy and comfortable for battling what a Colorado winter throws at it. Am outdoors plowing, blowing and pushing snow at work for six months out of the year. These are the go-to boots for these conditions. Have read some negative reviews (Leo from Dawson Creek; Working in -35F? No, these aren't your boots) but these beat other top of the line boots by Chippewa, Sorel and the like. Sole wears better than Keen summer boots, probably due to walking on snow and ice versus asphalt and concrete. If Keen put a more abrasion-resistant Vibram sole on their summer boots, they couldn't keep them in stock.

    Great boot for winter hiking

    By

    from M.A. USA

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

I purchased the Keen Summit County winter boots and had no problems hiking to any of the highest summits in New Hampshire this winter, even above tree-line. They were warm and worked well with light traction MICROspikes, Grivel Air Tech Crampons, and Tubbs Flex TRK snow shoes. Very please with the performance, warmth, and dryness.

    I would not recomend

    By

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

I use these boots for snow shoeing and hunting so far the only thing good is keen comfort the loops that hold your laces in are breaking and I don't excessively tighten my boots and the left boot has squeaked since day one no matter what kind of ground you are walking on. I have other keen hikers, shoes and work boots all have stood up to way more use than these boots overall dissatisfied with this product.

    My feet are soaked

    By

    from Dawson Creek BC

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

I have four different keen footwear that I love, but this product has been disappointing. They keep my feet warm unti I walk through a bit of slush or the snow melts around them when I go inside. I work outside and need dry feet- it was -35 today. My feet got cold.

    Not Good On Slippery Surfaces

    By

    from saskatoon, sk

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

bought them at Cabela's. warmth - great (-30, -40 Celsius, no problem), extremely light despite being bulky (no issue for long hikes or snow shoeing), waterproof. However they fail (miserably I would say) on any slippery surfaces (a little bit of ice, and you're on your back, it does not matter if you wear these boots or sandals). recommended for snow and cold, however you'll hike on all four if you encounter any kind of icy surface (and I am not talking about solid ice here, a little bit a snow getting into my garage when removing snow from my driveway, will make that edge unmanageable).

Un autre excellent produit de Keen

    By

    from Matane

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

Je possède ces bottes depuis deux semaines. Je les ai achetées principalement pour faire des randonnées hivernales, soit pédestres, ou à raquette. Confortables, bien balancées, légères, bon support de chevilles, chaudes (après deux heures à raquette par -20 °C, aucune sensation de froid aux orteils, bonheur!). J'espère qu'elles me donneront plusieurs saisons de bons services. Pensez à prendre 0,5 points plus grand si vous comptez chausser de gros bas de laine.

    Not waterproof!

    By

    from Spartansburg Pa

Comments about KEEN Men's Summit County Waterproof Boot:

I work in the maple syrup industry in a large commercial operation. Because of this I am in the woods all the time in very tough weather. I've worn and destroyed many many boots and have a pretty good idea of what I should expect when a brand says "water proof". These don't even come close to my already low expectations in this area. On day one even just the little bit of snow from the walk to the truck melted on them and immediately they are wet. I have taken to the dreaded shopping bags to stay dry! If your only going out to shovel the driveway these might be alright but professionals beware. I must also note that these are very light and comfortable. I really wish they lived up to the "water proof" claim.
