  • I would buy this boot again and I do recommend it

This is part 2 of my review of these boots. Weekend before last I was out on staff as a patrol guide for winter camping training for scout leaders and scouts. It was an overnight that started at 11 degrees Friday, dropped into single digits over night and saturday was around 20 degrees. I spent 18 of the 24 hours in these boots. The other 6 were spent in my tent, i dropped to warmers in them to dry out overnight. Awesome

    Well worth the money.

I have had these boots for over six years. I have worn them in deep snow, through rain storms, hiking through rough trails and out on the range during the summer months. As others have stated, it took a bit for them to break in near the calf and shin but after a while, they wear like a heavier tennis shoe. I strongly recommend these if you are looking for comfortable boots that still provide great support.

    My go-to winter boots!

I bought these a couple of years ago and they have not disappointed me. I live in Denver and sometimes you need a good, sturdy pair of boots to go out in the snow. I've been in below 0 temperatures with these boots and they keep my feet nice and warm. Not to mention they're great when walking in slushy snow. They keep your feet super warm and dry. Very important if you're going to be outside for a long period of time. Add these boots with a great pair of wool socks and you have the best combo for you feet you could ever ask for.

    Warm and Lightweight

Good pair of lightweight winter boots. Well designed heels holds snowshoe binding straps. Could be warmer, insoles are thin, but these boots are lightweight and easy to get on and off. Stable platform for winter hiking. Great traction!

    Nice light boot, but...

... Could be much more comfortable if the cuff didn't cut into your calf. Ample toe box is great for wide/ high -volume feet. Lacing is tedious. I plan to replace with bungee cord lock laces like Keen Newport's. Also, not a fan of cloth lace loops which are prone to early failure - unlike metal grommet eyelets in leather.

If my dad raves about these, you have a winner!!

I bought these as a gift for my father who works outside and wanted a boot that was waterproof and warm. Now, my dad is the kind who doesn't get excited about a lot of things and is picky about footwear, but when these arrived and he had a chance to wear them, he called me and swore that they were the most comfortable pair of winter boots that he has ever worn!!

I have used these boots everyday since I purchased them. Fit well for me right out of box. I have owed Keen shoes in the past and never been disappointed.

    Solid boot

I use these boots all week on the job site through the winter. They are built well and definitely keep you feet warm. Only real flaw is the laces are junk.

    Excellent Boot!

The first time I wore these they hurt my calf just a little bit, being tall this is a partially expected, but like any good boot after about three uses they broke in. The foot bed is just as expected from a keen boot, wonderful! The worst thing about these is that I want to wear them around the house like slippers all the time now.

I have had many different hiking shoes/boots in my time in scouting. I have also had many different winter boots. My summit tocountry boots are as it stands right now are the best. We just had our first snow of the season and it was wet and heavy. I was outside for 6 to 8 hours clearing snow and ice. When i went in my feet were comfortable and dry. I was wearing smart wool hiker medium weight hiker socks. What a combo. I'm on staff for our OKPIK training course and I am looking forward to our winter adventures. Thanks for a great boot.
