Classic trails call for classic boots. Blending traditional all-leather construction with modern waterproof/breathable technology, the Pyrenees are built to keep feet dry and comfortable over long days and rough miles. European styling conceals a KEEN.Dry membrane that seals out precipitation while allowing moisture to escape.

  • 4mm multi directional lugs
  • KEEN.Dry waterproof breathable membrane
  • Torsion stability ESS shank

Gently brush the footwear with a soft bristle brush or hand towel to remove loose dirt and debris. Stains can be treated by lightly rubbing a gum eraser in a circular motion over the location and lightly brushing afterwards. Tough stains can be treated with a mixture of water and a little vinegar on a damp cloth. This process may cause slight discoloration to the area.

  • I will buy these boots again

    5

I have been buying these boots and wearing them for work since they first came out. I am on concrete a lot and also walk in wet field conditions. Wear them every day while farming and get exposed to extreme conditions. Used to wear Red Wing work boots but after developing a neuroma on my right foot I could no longer get thru the day. The Keens last about as long for wear and keep my foot with the neuroma comfortable all day.

I use these boots on almost a daily basis for field work in eastern Oregon doing riparian restoration for the Oregon Natural Desert Association. About a month with this specific pair so far. I go through at least a pair of boots per year. I bought the Pyrenees because they have no cloth to pick up cheat-grass seeds outside or inside the boot. They also have essentially no seams which also pick up cheat grass. Seams, laces, and lace hooks seem to be the weak points, and are usually the first thing to blowout/break off. These boots are a great compromise between being protective/supportive leather and still being lightweight, while also being roomy, comfortable and waterproof.

Good Fit, caption is right: size up 1/2 a size.

These are lightweight boots that seem durable. They look sexy too. I originally wanted the syrup but they were out of stock, so I settled on the grey. When they came in via mail, I was still floored by their comfort and look. Although I have not put them through the rigors of multiple day backpacking trips--the extent I push these types of shoes, I have a sense that these may be my permanent hiking boot. Time will tell. Right now, I am excited about a shoe. Weird, but when it is a good product, it is good product.

Solves my neuroma problem, but at a cost

    4

After developing a very painful neuroma in one foot, I have sadly determined that I can no longer wear my super comfy Scarpa Terra GoreTex boots. The only solution I have found to work with shoes is a much wider toe box and limited drop from heel to toe. Keen covers the first and is okay on the second. I was not super excited about Nubuck or grey (I prefer a dark brown full-grain boot), but they were the only color left in my size. When they arrived, they looked pretty decent, so the first test was a short walk with my dog. Pros: they don't cause any toe pain once I have my SOLE insoles in and a toe spacer around the problem toe. They are reasonably light-weight. They have a pretty decent rocker to the sole so a natural gait is doable in these. They do seem waterproof--stood in some puddles and small creeks along the Central OR Coast last weekend. Cons: unbelievably stiff in the ankle, caused significant ankle discomfort the first few times I wore them but they are slowly starting to break in. KEEN is using a very stiff padding in the ankle along with a leather liner through there, which really makes me miss my Scarpas which have much softer padding and a fabric liner. Wearing my thickest SmartWool PhD hiking socks has minimized the ankle pain, but still way too stiff for my taste. I hope they will soften more with use. One boot also made a lot of noise with every step from the leather inside the ankle rubbing against the same leather inside the tongue. Seems to have minimized with use. I also prefer a one-piece leather upper to minimize the number of (eventually leaky) seams. While better than some other brands, these have a half-dozen or so seams per boot. If you are suffering from a neuroma and need the toe space, these might be a solution. I'm not certain how long they will last and/or stay waterproof. The next big test will be how well they keep my feet warm while snowshoeing.

I love these boots. Great around the house and shop. Functional on the trail. Good ankle support.

Just hope they continue to make them.

I wear these every day as casual footwear including day hikes on weekends. Most comfortable footwear I've ever had. Fit and durability is better than other Keen boots I've had. If you're planning to discontinue, I'd like to know so I can buy an extra pair or two.

Yes I would buy these again

The shoes felt great as soon as I put them on,, What I noticed as soon as I stood up was how stable they felt, the sole grips the floor in a very positive way, very comfortable, didn't feel I had to brake then in, I have another pair of Keen shoes that look like the Pyrenees and have the same sole the other pair are 7 years old, not even a string came loose, and I wore them every day I turned the shoes over to compare the sole wear and was surprised to see there wasn't difference, '' GREAT SHOES ''

Good Boot Design But Should Not Have Ordered Half Size Up.

    4

I bought the Pyrenees primarily as a work boot. They are comfortable out of the box and the quality looks good. I feel the design of the boot makes them inherently more durable because there are fewer stitches/seams at stress points. The ordering recommendation was to order a 1/2 size up as they run a little small. I have a wide foot, and as these are not offered in a "wide", I purchased 11-1/2 instead of my normal 11 wide. As it turns out, I should not have ordered a half size up as the boot is plenty wide and now I have a little slop. Double socks will be the solution eventually, but for now they are fine.
