I bough a pair of these at my local bass pro shops and wore the too work the following day. On aver I'm on my feet 11 hours a day and 65 plus hours per week and on average I walk 20 miles a day. When your required to wear steel-toe boots it's hard to find a boot that stays comfortable for that amount of miles and time but I can say these boots are comfortable even after the work day is over and I will gladly buy another pair when it's time.

I'm also a railroader and bought these boots in Jan of this year (2016) I'm a track inspector and spend 90% of my days walking track, bowl tracks, bowl switches, and industry leads. I'm on rock and slick ties walking up and down the ballast kicking joint bars kicking spikes. I was told by a old fra inspector that he can tell a good inspector by his boots. If the steel is showing then he knows he's kicking bolts. Well theses boots the rubber toe is still holding up great. The soles on the other hand are shot. Split ripped tore and peeling off the boot. It's too the point that I can feel the sharp ballast threw the bottom. I've wore Redwing and wolverine boots and they last bout half a year to a year also. After working for a class 1 railroad for going on 20 years I've yet to find a boot that will last longer then 6 months. Since my company will pay half on any boot I buy now I'll prob try another pair they are very comfortable and stylish. For somebody who's on his feet for 8 to 10 hours a day walking 2 to 6 miles a day I will say my feet were hardly ever sore didn't get back aches like I did in loggers. They breathed good and still keep my feet warm in the nebraska winters and cool in the humid heat.

Work best if you never step foot outside

    By

Comments about KEEN Men's Pittsburgh 6" Boot (Steel Toe):

Good: Price, weight, steel toe quality, good support for being on your feet all day and carrying heavy loads.
Bad: Doesnt breath very well, sole doesnt stand up to outdoor conditions, Leather to sole seam is already sepparated after 6 months. Cant tighten up the toe box with the laces. Been through 3 pairs of these, and they all have the same issue. Only reason i keep getting them, is becuase i get them free through work.

    Absolutely a great product

    By

    from Biddeford, Maine

Comments about KEEN Men's Pittsburgh 6" Boot (Steel Toe):

Like so many others have written, I am on my feet between 10 and 12 hours every day from M-F. These boots are the most comfortable work boot I have yet worn. I am just under 2 years in this pair and am on the web site today looking at purchasing anther pair of this Pittsburgh model. The outside may be dirty and scuffed up but they are still water tight. The sole is in really good shape considering my time is spent moving around on concrete floors all day. The wear, or lack of wear, is amazing when compared to my past buying experiences.

It is not often I have a reason to brag on a product, but Keen has a product that actually does what it claims it can do, and over a much longer period of time than I have experienced with other brands. There is a lot of junk out there in the market place. I feel this boot is well above all the others I have tried. Congratulations to everyone at Keen.....for a great product

It's a good boot but they only last 6 months

        By

        from Louisiana

Comments about KEEN Men's Pittsburgh 6" Boot (Steel Toe):

I work offshore on a drilling rig as a supervisor, although I am not in mud and chemicals for 12 hrs a day, I am on my feet for 10+ hrs a day. Walking up and down stairs with non-skid treads and walking on grating. I can only use these boots for 6 months before the soles start to wear out.
