  • Great shoe, more rugged than you would think

Great shoe, comfortable, has held up to some rugged use better than most. Wish it was available in more than a size 8 and horrible color more than once a year.

    Very comfortable

Nice walking shoe. Only issue is that the tongue has a bit of a "wandering attitude." It has to be adjusted periodically. Otherwise great.

It's Nice When Shoes Exceed Expectations

I use these as casual work shoes, no climbing. There is no technically complicated insole, which is perfect for me because I use orthotics. The lacing system allows me to have the forefoot somewhat loose, and snugger near the heel and ankle, which is perfect for me. I will buy a second pair so I can rotate them. I did do a small test climb on rock, and they did stick well, so if I do feel the need, this shoe will do the job. I have no complaints at all. I get a lot of compliments on the look of the shoe, which doesn't hurt.

    incredible comfort, versatility and style.

This is my second pair of these shoes, and it appears they are going to be discontinued, which saddens me. The thing I love about them is their incredible simplicity - a flat, flexible sole, upon which is perched a removable insole made of cork and foamy stuff. The suede uppers are no-nonsense, with mad retro vibes and fun colors (sadly almost none are available anymore). I do not care for most "sport" shoes with their complicated uppers using many different materials, so finding this kind of simple design was a treat. The laces extend far to the toe - possibly useful, but really more of a stylistic nod to rock climbing shoes from 50 years ago - and high along the instep, which is good, but it makes the shoes a little challenging to get into, so I keep them loosely tied. Unlike old climbing shoes, however, these feature the wide dorky Keen toe box, which translates to great comfort for my toes. The circular laces look awesome but refuse to stay tied - thankfully Keen includes 2 pair of laces - one flat, one round - so you can change them if you so desire. I hope they decide to keep these shoes in their lineup, they work well for everything. Except climbing.

    Don't buy this style Keen

The tongue is made out of way too flimsy of material and folds under at the sides every time you put the shoe on

This shoe totally missed the mark!

I've been a longtime Keen owner, mostly of the the Targhee model but some others using them for both pleasure and work. I have found that through all my experiences Keen's shoes have been sturdy, consistent and reliable. They are made extremely well, holding up to any task, and fit true to size every time. However, after purchasing these shoes I have lost confidence in they're ability to design shoes outside the realm of a solid hiking boot. The materials used and the build of this shoe are absolutely bulletproof, after almost two months of rigorous abuse they look, albeit dirty, exactly the way they came in the box. The design though is flawed to the core! If you are looking for the sturdy supportive outsole, you'll find it has been completely abondoned. Every tiny stone you land on will be felt. The trustworthy insoles with generous arch support are no where to be for, instead traded for a grossly over padded one with no support whatsoever. Suppose you're the kind of person who likes to exchange their insoles for superfeet or something similar, you'll find that they quickly cannot perform properly due to the poor, thin sole design. The tongues of these shoes refuse to stay put sliding down towards the toe at the very moment you start to walk, bunching up at your toes. Even during casual wear these shoes cause great distress to my feet, I can't stand in one place for more than a minute or two without soreness in my arches and heels. This shoe is a serious digression from the quality products that Keen has made and I am a fool for having trusted the usually very reliable reviews and reputation of the company having purchased two pairs, what a waste of money on shoes I can do nothing with. Buyer beware, stick to the Targhee, it's a wicked boot, even the meshy, low cut steel toe boots I where for work are a solid shoe, but these.... complete garbage!

Very comfortable! Go up a half size larger than you wear now. Extra laces. Good value!! Possibly the best pair of Keens I've owned.

I use this shoe as a casual knock around. It is very comfortable right out of the box. No break in issues. This is a very good looking shoe. The lace to toe lacing is difficult to adjust.

Works great for me! Fit true to size for me and comfortable

No break in needed as has been my experience with Keen. Three pair of laces (different colors!) That's a nice feature. Laces are a bit long though but an easy fix for that. Got a great price but had to settle for the black ones. I like em! Very happy
