I work in a factory and I walk between 12,000-15,000 steps per day. I'm a big guy with wide feet and these are awesome shoes! They hold up pretty well for what I put them through, and I love that they are made in the USA! There are many other guys I work with that really like these as well. Great job Keen! Now make all your shoes in the US and I'll give you 5 stars!

Well made but heavy, clunky, and big

I wanted to like these shoes but they are just too heavy and big. I walk up stairs a lot during my day and these shoes make me very heavy footed and quite frankly, at the end of the day my legs are tired from lifting these all day. I appreciate the fact that they're well made but Keen needs to cut down on weight. Make them in composite toe instead of steel toe, perhaps? I also feel like they are unusually wide, even for Keens. Just look at the picture of the soles online. No one needs THAT much room in the toe box. I can never wear these with shorts because they will look like clown shoes on me.

    JURY IS STILL OUT!!!

I have purchased several Keen products in the past. I decided to try the Braddock because it is American made. Every other work shoe or boot I've ordered in the past was a size 10. I ordered size 10 and it was too small. Returned them and ordered a 10.5. Same thing. Retuned them and ordered a size 11. I've never worn a size 11 in my life. We'll see, they are due to arrive tomorrow.

These will probably be in my closet when I'm in the ground

This shoe is probably way better made than it needed to be for me; the fit and comfort were not as nice as my KEEN boat shoes, so I gave them 4 and not 5 stars. Every other characteristic of the shoe is top rate. I've had mine about three years and I just recently wore the shell off the laces; they still tie, but the outer layer of the lace broke. Anyway, I still have them and would like to get a replacement set of laces. Please email me and let me know how I go about getting them.

Most comfortable pair of work shoes I've ever owned!

Nice shoe but SHORT on the laces

    2

Bought these shoes recently. First day wearing my feet were sore. Breaking in. Since though have acclimated to them. Issue I have is with the short laces sent with them. Measured to 52 inches long. I chatted with customer service about sending new 65 inch laces in the same gray/black color but they will charge $8 shipping for $7 laces. Not gonna order them then. So much for the care factor on their part to appease a First time buying customer. Very disappointed. Will purchase my next pair from elsewhere....Red Wings Again...

So far, so good. Hope I don't get to test the steel toes!

Brought them for work. Very light and comfortable in comparison to other work boots I have had. I had a similar pair about 2 years ago. They lasted about a year. That's very good for what I put boots thru. If I get that out of these I will be very happy

    Not the best first impression

    2

I don't have many positive things to say about this shoe, unfortunately. Initially, I was really excited about these but there are a few glaring shortcomings I think need to be addressed by Keen. THE FIT: The measuring table above is off a full size. It had my foot (exactly 27cm) at a size 10 so I confidently ordered a 10D. When they came and I put the first one on, my toe hit the front of the shoe with zero wiggle room. I had to exchange for a full size larger to make them fit correctly, which would be my advice. Whatever your measurement is in cm, size up a full size from what it tells you to order. Finally after getting the right size, I was feeling optimistic, but after ten minutes of wear, my feet were going numb from the shoe cutting off circulation. It seems it's too tight on the bridge of my foot but if I loosened them up, the ankle is then too loose and my heel slips when I walk. Frustrating. Finally, I know Keens have a notoriously wide toe box but these feel a little too wide like my feet are too small for the shoes or the shoes are too big for my feet, despite having the correct size. I fixed this problem with new insoles. More on that below. THE QUALITY: The quality of the shoe is great. The materials seem durable and the shoe feels well made. However, the insoles are junk. Frankly, they were very hard, which is not what you want in a work shoe, as people who wear them are often standing in them most of their day. I took them out to inspect them and it's an underwhelming thin piece of foam and not very pleasant to walk or stand on for any extended period of time. After two weeks of walking on what felt like concrete, I replaced them with a good pair of $20 insoles that feel much better, but I don't feel I should have to put $20 into a brand new pair of shoes after 2 weeks. The extra padding of the new insoles added a little height and actually made the shoe fit better as well. These did not leave the best first impression, unfortunately.

    comfortable work shoe

    5

True Keen quality. At first the were a little stiff, but that is to be expected with a quality work shoe. Not as comfortable as my Targhee 2 boots, but those are over 2 years old and I wear those when I'm not working! These shoes fit me true to size. Overall, a great option when a steel toe shoe is acceptable!
