Brought them for work. Very light and comfortable in comparison to other work boots I have had. I had a similar pair about 2 years ago. They lasted about a year. That's very good for what I put boots thru. If I get that out of these I will be very happy

    Not the best first impression

    2

I don't have many positive things to say about this shoe, unfortunately. Initially, I was really excited about these but there are a few glaring shortcomings I think need to be addressed by Keen. THE FIT: The measuring table above is off a full size. It had my foot (exactly 27cm) at a size 10 so I confidently ordered a 10D. When they came and I put the first one on, my toe hit the front of the shoe with zero wiggle room. I had to exchange for a full size larger to make them fit correctly, which would be my advice. Whatever your measurement is in cm, size up a full size from what it tells you to order. Finally after getting the right size, I was feeling optimistic, but after ten minutes of wear, my feet were going numb from the shoe cutting off circulation. It seems it's too tight on the bridge of my foot but if I loosened them up, the ankle is then too loose and my heel slips when I walk. Frustrating. Finally, I know Keens have a notoriously wide toe box but these feel a little too wide like my feet are too small for the shoes or the shoes are too big for my feet, despite having the correct size. I fixed this problem with new insoles. More on that below. THE QUALITY: The quality of the shoe is great. The materials seem durable and the shoe feels well made. However, the insoles are junk. Frankly, they were very hard, which is not what you want in a work shoe, as people who wear them are often standing in them most of their day. I took them out to inspect them and it's an underwhelming thin piece of foam and not very pleasant to walk or stand on for any extended period of time. After two weeks of walking on what felt like concrete, I replaced them with a good pair of $20 insoles that feel much better, but I don't feel I should have to put $20 into a brand new pair of shoes after 2 weeks. The extra padding of the new insoles added a little height and actually made the shoe fit better as well. These did not leave the best first impression, unfortunately.

    comfortable work shoe

    5

True Keen quality. At first the were a little stiff, but that is to be expected with a quality work shoe. Not as comfortable as my Targhee 2 boots, but those are over 2 years old and I wear those when I'm not working! These shoes fit me true to size. Overall, a great option when a steel toe shoe is acceptable!

    Please reinforce eyelets

Need to reinforce eyelets, they blow out when tying but other than that they're a great work boot/shoe. They have defined heal which is required for my job.

Braddock is my favorite work shoe

    5

After wearing the Braddock mid AL for a year ( they are not close to being worn out) or so and really loving the comfort, durability, and toe room I decided to give the low version a try. I have not been disappointed. I work as electronics tech in a fast paced appliance manufacturing factory averaging 4 walking miles per day. I plan to stick with the American made models unless the quality or comfort changes.

Not my favorite pair of Keen.

Did not like how the laces cut across the top of my foot. First time in 20 years I have a negative comment about Keen. Will be returning for a different pair.

    Fabric/webbing eyelets fail constantly

    1

As with prior reviewers below, the fabric/webbing eyelets for this series are an engineering weakness (understatement). Keen has been great with prior warranty claims on this model, and these Braddock Lows are exactly what I want, but I will never again purchase a low steel toe from Keen with this eyelet design. I've been repairing them myself with small brass grommets for eyelets, but I'm done repairing these myself. Disappointing as the remaining entirety of the shoe is burly and would have lasted many, many years, but they the flaw allows them only a few months. Tragic, and environmentally irresponsible. Sorry Keen, but I can't imagine that this catastrophic flaw is not being redesigned. I still will support you with your work work boots, but have to look elsewhere for my daily footwear.

    Great shoe/low top steel toe!!

    5

I use this steel toe shoe at work, required at a majority of the locations that I consult with. Construction, Agriculture and manufacturing sites....a little bit tight in the toe area at first, after lacing up and pulling tight it was just fine....always try on a pair to ensure correct sizing.
