  • Fabric/webbing eyelets fail constantly

    1

As with prior reviewers below, the fabric/webbing eyelets for this series are an engineering weakness (understatement). Keen has been great with prior warranty claims on this model, and these Braddock Lows are exactly what I want, but I will never again purchase a low steel toe from Keen with this eyelet design. I've been repairing them myself with small brass grommets for eyelets, but I'm done repairing these myself. Disappointing as the remaining entirety of the shoe is burly and would have lasted many, many years, but they the flaw allows them only a few months. Tragic, and environmentally irresponsible. Sorry Keen, but I can't imagine that this catastrophic flaw is not being redesigned. I still will support you with your work work boots, but have to look elsewhere for my daily footwear.

    Great shoe/low top steel toe!!

I use this steel toe shoe at work, required at a majority of the locations that I consult with. Construction, Agriculture and manufacturing sites....a little bit tight in the toe area at first, after lacing up and pulling tight it was just fine....always try on a pair to ensure correct sizing.

    Great shoe

My forth pair of Keens, Love the brand. These are great to wear, no break in time. Been wearing them to work every day. Great shoe. Had to buy a 1/2 size larger.

They lasted only a few months.

There's only fabric loops that the shoelaces go through. No plastic or metal reinforcement, so the shoelaces will cut through the fabric loops over time. After only a few months, that happened to me. Completely unacceptable considering the shoes still look new, not to mention the cost. Hate to say it but don't waste you time or money on these.

Good shoe if you give them time and care

The shoe is nice and sturdy. It is rubbing my little toe and that is irritating. The crease behind the steel toe digs into the top tendon of my big toe so I have had to undo the laces until they break in. I like the model of shoe it's worth the buy, it takes a month or so to break in. I recommend replacing the insole after about four months. Keep the leather oiled or it will crack.

I wear these only occasionally, but when I do, they're exactly what I need. They're comfortable and I wear them with confidence when working with heavy tools.

So far this shoe has been worth the price

I'm on my feet all day, and these shoes give great arch support. No blisters no excessive leg pain, and no back aches. Oil and slip resistant, never slip on messy oil and wet floors. Also love the look and there dark enough to wear I can wear them to casual upscale restaurant. Style 10/10! Comfort. 10/10. No extra inserts needed so my feet stay cooler. If there like other keens they should hold up for years to come, with proper care.

Very pleased with my decision on this style of work shoe.

Got these for summer work so they don't need to be waterproof. Needed my feet to be able to breath as much as possible and mission accomplished. Very impressive construction.
