These shoes are great for my son. They are well built and reinforced in all the areas kids typically blow out. He loves the color and fit, while proper supporting his feet.

I ordered the big kids shoe in hopes of getting a wider shoe than the standard womens width. Didn't work, plus there is no arch support or shape to this shoe. I would have expected more foot support and form for a shoe that should be helping a kid transition from a child's size to an adult size. I guess if the theory is that a "big kid" will grow out of it soon and move to another size, it would be okay.

I usually buy Nike for my son and was finding I needed to buy a new pair every 2-3 months due to him wearing through the soles! He's been wearing the Keens for about 3 weeks now and they are holding up well. I could put them back in the box and they'd pass for brand new. The outside repels stains and water. My 8 year old says they're the best shoes he's ever worn! The price was comparable to the Nike ones I've been purchasing and seems to be a better value as I anticipate they will last longer.

I have bought two pairs of kids Keens they are the bees knees! My first pair has been passed down to the next kid. We love to hike and get dirty these shoes stand up to dirty kids! I bought a different name brand shoe with a great rep BUT they could not be passed down to my younger kid. I highly recommend keens shoes for kids and adults!

Sturdy, well made, and most importantly kid approved. These shoes are tough enough to handle the beating dished out by a 5yr old boy too big for Velcro but not ready to handle shoe laces. I highly recommend these Keens.
