My kids aren't particularly tough on shoes, and yet my 8-year-old's Keen's (these) are starting to peel and come apart. One spot is on the outside where the side of the shoe meets the footbed--it's like the glue is coming off. The other spot is in the tongue, where the fabric is starting to split open at a seam? At this price point--which is the most I've ever paid for my kids' shoes in an effort to find flexible, non-restrictive, more "barefoot-friendly" ones for wide feet--I'm kinda disappointed. However, my 4-year-old's shoes of the same style seem to be doing okay so far, which is great for him but also confusing. I just expected more than three or so months of use before they start coming apart. Still, if they keep up with my kids for at least six months without completely blowing out, I guess I can't complain too much.
