    Fabulous

I work on a drilling rig, so the steel toes were the most important factor. But they are as comfortable as my tennis shoes. I usually wear a 9.5 or occasionally a 9.5W and ended up in a 10.5W for these, so they run small. But they are super comfortable. I needed to change out the factory insoles for high arch insoles, but that's normal for me, so no big deal.

I was happy to find a ladies' steel toe that wasn't pink- thats often the only color option- and came in a wide width. I have always ended up in men's boots before this. Very pleased.

    Love them

The boots are comfortable. I love them. I have somewhat narrow pointy feet. I have been breaking in my new shoes. I spent 5 hrs walking around on concrete. My feet were tired but I held up. My back was fine. I like the way the tongues feels and looks more if i double cross my laces over the tongue. No complaints so far.

    Buy these boots!

Comments about Women's Detroit Mid (Steel Toe):

This is my second pair of Keen work boots. Most comfortable work boots I have ever owned. Take a little bit to break in, but not nearly as long as other boots. My last pair was worn M-F for two years. Had to get a new pair as stitching was coming apart and were no longer waterproof. I didn't even explore other options when it was time to buy new boots. These are the best, hands down.

Lots more cushion then I remember! These are my second pair. They are also slightly bigger than my old ones of the same size. But so comfortable!

Not wide enough (even in wide)

    By

    from Greensboro, NC

I ordered the Women's Detriot Mid Steel Toe as soon as they came out. I wore them at various manufacturing facilities, generating facilities, and on occasion to do remote/greenfield work, including hiking steep terrain. The boots performed well against mud, coal fines, and streams. I unfortunately have very wide feet though, and even in size wide the Detriot Mids aren't wide enough. I can't wear them comfortably for more than a couple of hours at a time. I also do not recommend them for steep terrain hiking, my toes suffered quite a bit as a result, but I think that would have been the case for any steel toe boot after two days of rough terrain hiking (for wetland delineations). I do appreciate the stability and sturdiness of the boots, and other than the width, had no issues with them.

    Second time buying this shoe

Great shoes. I wear them at work doing landscaping. Only shoes that don't hurt my feet. The shoes are super comfortable and the safety is a requirement where I work. Only negative is the durability. This is my second pair.

    Too narrow

Comments about Women's Detroit Mid (Steel Toe):

As soon as I put these boots on, I could feel they were tight in the toe box. The steel toe was pushing up against the top of my toe on the nail and the knuckle of my big toe was touching the side wall. The fit everywhere else was great and the tread was amazing. Unfortunately these didn't work out for me. The last pair of Keen's I had were the best steel toe boots I've ever owned, but they don't sell that version anymore (Salem).

      4 years with these boots

      By

      from Guatemala

They were with me for 4 years, very light and comfortable. Great boots, shoe laces not so great after a year. Eyelet made out of fabric broke after two years everyday use. Wear of the sole as detached rubber might be expected.
