All the best features of a hiking shoe and a sandal in one comfortable style. Open vents in the waterproof leather provide breathability, and the multi-directional lug outsole bites into tough terrain.

  • 4mm multi directional lugs
  • Contoured heel lock
  • Secure fit lace capture system
  • Torsion stability ESS shank

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

These are good, but the heel could use a little more soft support. When I added inserts my toes were smushed. I will try to think of a good solution. Also, in the picture you will see a part that has fallen awry. Purchase was made in early December.

But, anyhow...Thank you, Keen. :) We are huge supporters of your products and services.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

I love that they give you the support of a hiking shoe, yet are a light and breezy sandal. Plenty of toe room, easy to slip on and off. Hope they will eventually have more colors.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

Currently wearing a pair of Arroyo II's which I have worn for a few years but I am planning a trip to Europe this summer so I thought I would get a new pair for trip not because my current pair look worn or are not comfortable, just because I thought they would become by dress up shoes while I am there and wear my current pair daily for touring. I like them and haven't found a more comfortable shoe, and I have a closet full of shoes to prove it.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

This is the second time I am purchasing these. They are wonderful and feel fantastic on my feet. I like the fact that they are sandals and provide full coverage of my foot. The heal give me full stability with the comfort of a sandal.

    GREAT hiking sandal.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

I walk between 8-12 miles each day, much of it on steep back trails. These shoes are a great alternative to hiking boots, and keep my feet from becoming too hot. Of course, at times pebbles find their way into the shoe, but the shoes make them easy to extract. I only have a problem with the laces, which stretched out on the first day of use. I have replaced them with normal ties, which I can better control.

    Comments about Women's Arroyo II:

After 10 years of taking me all over the planet, my original Keens from 2007 were at the point of needing to be replaced. Yes, I have other pairs (6 more, I think), these were my "go to" Keens. Living in Florida, the vented sides of the Arroyo also my feet to breathe. I know this new pair will take me on as yet undreamed of adventures!

My 92 year old mother-in-law had virtually stopped walking, even in the house, due to painful feet, swollen ankles and hammer toes, even though she had orthopedic shoes. I got her a pair of Arroyo II shoes size 10 and she walks everywhere now over all kinds of terrain. She ditched her insoles for the Keen insoles provided with this shoe.
Ordering some sandals and water proof shoes next!

Overall, this sandal/hiker is great but not without a few flaws. Can't wait to go hiking in them at a National Park later on this week. I will start with the pros: color combo and overall design/aesthetic is cute (cute as hiking shoe get at least...), toe protection due to the bumper, good grippy traction due to sole design, leather is buttery soft, adjustable fit, good airflow/ventilation, and they are comfy with good arch support. Now on to the cons: insole is only okay (it could use more cush and more arch), something I do not expect with Keens. I had to replace with my own insole from a pair of Merrell hikers actually. Also, the heel is much too wide if you do not have already have a wide foot. I have a normal/narrow foot and due to this, I had to cinch up the laces extra tight to keep my heel from slipping. May have to buy an anti-slip product due to this in the future. The material that is used in the heel (neoprene possibly?) is very soft which I like, but unfortunately, this causes some slipperiness.

Additionally, I agree with the votes for more color options, please. A slight redesign suggestion I have is to make all or maybe one model unicolor (black)- I have the Chocolate Chip/Sap Green color and the different color pieces of the sole and then different color upper do look a bit funky. I do not mind though. Maybe a pair of traditional laces could be included too- for both looks and a second option.
