  • Comfortable except....

These boots are extremely comfortable except for one thing: when the toe flexes, the fold that results falls right behind the rubber toe protector, and that hits my little toe, causing pain. I need a very square toe box. They are fine for normal walking or moderate hiking, but for me they don't work so well on rocky terrain.

    Pretty in Plum

I had been searching for footwear to bring on vacation to Yellowstone where I will be hiking. I didn't want a boring, drab boot that I wouldn't wear again but needed something sturdy and reliable. Keen was recommended to me and I found these boots. The plum color is like a grayish purple so will match most outfits and the boot is really more like a hightop sneaker. Lightweight, comfortable with a very nice tread. They fit to size and will be the perfect travel companion on my hiking trip as they don't need any break-in. The most competitively priced boots i found, too!

When I originally purchased this boot, I thought this was going to be the boot I would buy over and over when I first wore them. I walk 18km to 25km a day for my job and the soles started to rip off the right boot less than 2 weeks after wearing them. Also, after a few walks through wet grass, both boots get adequately soaked. They are super comfortable boots, however, they will not last the stands of time. Buy the durands! They are rugged and well built :)

I bought these back in December, I needed new hiking boots for the coming spring and summer. Well then a snow storm hit where I live and I broke these out. They did fantastic. I know they are more of a spring/summer boot but I threw on two pairs of socks and out I went. They really saved me this year. I was a little worried because I wouldn't have time to properly break them in before I was using them to trudge though snow for a couple miles to work but out of the box they were SO COMFORTABLE. Basically no break in time needed. The only down side is now I realize they are about a half size to big. Also they are very lightweight, it is almost like wearing a high top sneaker instead of a clunky hiking boot. Overall I have really been enjoying these boots and will be buying them a half size smaller next time.

I hike A LOT (4 days a week). I hike in mostly mountainous terrain and have worn every brand of hiking boot there is. I have put these through steep terrain, snow, heavy rain and long journeys. Pros: -lightweight like a trail runner. -good ankle support - VERY comfortable -look great Cons: Not as waterproof as they say. Soaked feet within a week of purchase. All and all most comfy boots I have ever worn.
