Not the same as the original. Uhg.

I loved my original Winterport boots. I bought them about 10 years ago and they held up in a fantastic way. It was only this year - at a rainy / snowy Packer's game that they decided to leak. So, I went straight back to this boot. Once they arrived, you could tell the quality was just not there. The upper part of the boot is EXTREMELY stiff and was VERY challenging to put on and take off - heck, I thought my foot was going to break when I took them off. If anyone knows how to 're-waterfproof' an old pair of these boots (because they still look great) please tell me. I will try anything. The originals were easy to put on and take off and very comfortable and warm. The new ones were comfortable when you got them on - but good luck getting them actually on your foot and then off again. FYI I wear a 12 - and once I got them on - they were snug. If you don't believe me, buy them - but go a size bigger - and try to get them on - and then send them back. Sad. I miss the original of this shoe. Keen - when you bring them back - I will buy two pair.

    Bought them for my son

I bought these for my son but I wear the same size. I tried them on and seemed to have plenty of room in them however they were difficult to get into, the opening was very tight and had to use a lot of force and the finger pulls to get them on. My son is happy with them because they are light, roomy and warm!

I would buy this product again.

The boots fit great, better than last years. Last year they were very, very snug around the calf and extremely hard to get on and off. The pair from this year we're easy to get on and fit perfectly. They are warm and comfortable. They reminded me of my first pair I got 7+ years ago. I am still wearing them but they are showing some wear so I figured I would get a new pair. Thanks for listening to the customers and changing the design to be like the older pair was. You guys rock.

Work great but difficult to get off.

These boots are very warm and comfortable once you get them on. Someone somewhere in the designing process must have not done the math on the boot opening size. Very hard to get your foot back out of that small opening. I won't buy another pair of these. I loved the pair I bought 10 years ago, but unfortunately they don't make that style any longer and they've started leaking. :(

looks cool, but not so cool

ThIs boot is light and the tread/ sole is nice and wide, but that is about it. I was hoping that I could get by foot in the boot easily along with tucking my jeans inside, but it was a serious chore. Even with getting a size 1/2 bigger as recommend, its still hard to get your foot into the boot without tucking your pants inside. The elastic draw strings do not tighten around the foot to make a secure fit or the top of the boot to create a seal. Once you get your foot inside it is comfortable but somewhat loose. Have fun trying to get it off. I do not think that the height of the boot is high enough either for deep snow or shoreline beach walking. I think Keen was trying to make a boot version of the popular Newport H2 sandals. Im sticking with my MUCK boots. sorry KEEN, Your'e not so KEEN any more.

Warm, comfortable, but hard to take on/off

    4

These boots perform as advertised - they're super warm, handle a bunch of abuse, and have great traction. The only issue is how tight the top of the boot is; which makes taking them on/off quite difficult.

    3rd pair -same boots

I honestly just started wearing my first pair of Winterport ii's after wearing the original Winterports for just about 7 years before they developed a minor(minor) leak on top of the toe. The most recent purchase; will sit in the closet until they are needed. I wear them icefishing and snowmobiling. Super light weight. Excellent boots! Gregg T.

    Current version nothing like original

    1

I had the original version of this boot with a soft upper. The old style was so comfortable. When you pulled the elastic string it tightened around your foot and at the top. This current version is like a completely different boot. The upper is so stiff it rubs my shin, The elastic when pulled no longer tightens around the foot or the upper. I think Keen ruined this boot for me. I'm pretty disappointed as my originals are finally falling apart. Even at half price I simply don't care for this newer version. If you never owned them before and don't know what you're missing you might be ok with them??

    they work great

bought these boots for a motorcycle trip from Vancouver wash.. to sun city az.. tried them out today in the gorge temps ranged from 37 to 51 they work perfect ,very comfortable and light weight and keep my feet toasty. I read all the negative reviews before I ordered them and for my long wide flat feet getting them on and off was not an issue, the only problem I encountered was I order the black ones but received brown ones. but all in all they do exactly what I was looking for and would buy them again.
