Working at the airport for an air cargo company, we move a lot of freight and big pallets in and out of airplanes. When I was working I had a 4000 lb+ pallet pin my foot against part of the roller deck it was being moved across, stopped the pallet dead in its tracks. It destroyed the heel of the boot (hole in the side and tore the heel guard from the tread) but left me my foot completely unharmed.

Manager said he has seen ankles and feet broken in this fashion and was surprised that my foot was ok.

I replaced them with another pair because I liked them so much and they truly protected my feet. Only gave them 4 stars because I do not know how they would of held up in the long run, I have only been wearing them a couple months and they were showing some decent signs of wear already, especially in the stitching and tread.

Worst pair 9f boots I've owned

I haven't had these boots for a year yet. The toe stich in gave out in the first month and the souls are cracked out already.

I would buy again if they are true to water proof.

I use these everyday. I'm a electrician that is on my feet for ten plus hours a day. They are starting to break in a little bit. Haven't got in water yet that's my biggest hate in life wet feet. Hope they hold up.

I bought a second pair of these for a reason...

I work in land surveying and so I am on my feet all day and in nearly every terrain possible.
These boots make that all bearable.
The footbed is nice and stiff and keeps random rocks on paved roads or rip rap alongside them from bruising my foot.
The huge toebox is a blessing as it lets me tighten the boots down to keep my foot from sliding without turning my toes into sardines.
They are waterproof which needs no explanation as to why it's good.
Last but not least, and I realize this is probably particular to my profession but, the composite toe doesn't set off the metal detector I use on a daily basis. Having to go over the same area twice because the hit you just got was your foot and not the property corner you were looking for can get frustrating.

The only downside (and this is every waterproof leather boots) is that they are HOT in the summer. This isn't a deal breaker for me but it's worth mentioning.

    Great BUT

Comments about Men's Tacoma Waterproof (Composite Toe):

These are light, comfortable, waterproof and all around a pretty nice boot BUT the Soles...come on really on a $200 boot. It's like having a Porsche and going to Kmart for tires. The Soles last about 9 to 12 months then you're left with a Pair of Boots with less Sole than Satan himself. The Bottom of the Boot actually begins to shred and fall apart. If you work on a golf course these are the perfect boots, if you work on concrete and climb ladders I would look for something else. Get it together KEEN love your stuff but you need more Sole

    So far, so good.

In my area, Ariat is King. However, my boot store was out of the Ariat's I buy so I "settled" for these. I gotta say they are pretty comfortable. I was expecting sore feet during the break in period, but there really was none. They just feel good. Only had them a week and already put them thru the paces, cleaning up after a tornado. We shall see this time next year if I buy another pair or go back to my trusty Ariats. The only downfall, I believe, is the high price. I'm not saying they're cheap by any stretch, but they aren't $200 boots.
