One of the most comfortable Keen work boots I've tried

    By

Comments about KEEN Men's Omaha Waterproof Boot (Steel Toe):

So I tried my first pair of Omaha's not long after they first hit there Keen website. I actually got them with a warranty claim I had on a pair of Cleveland that the sole came unglued after only 7 months (Keen totally back it and gave me full credit for a replacement). That was around March 2016. Anyway I had them for about 2 months before my wife and I went to backpack Yosemite for a week. I thought twice about taking a pair of steel toes to do that much walking in, but thought it better to have the support for the trip. They were great! My feet never hurt the entire trip which included about 50 miles in the week with about 70lbs of gear. I even climbed Half Dome in them. After that it was back to work which for me means at a Paper mill. I have to cover a lot of ground everyday and by my step tracker is on average about 5-8 miles a day around the plant. Up stairs, on grading, through the oil and it is now been 17 months that I have had them in that type of abuse. The soles on these lens have been great, but the weak point for these shoes have been the shoe laces and the eyelets that they go through. If it want for that, I would not be looking for another pair.
Only complaint beside that was the flimsy sole that comes standard with all Keen work boots. Best thing I have found is the simple Dr. Shoals gel insert. Omahas+Dr. Shoals=Walking on Cotton

    Durable work boot

Comments about KEEN Men's Omaha Waterproof Boot (Steel Toe):

I've been wearing Keen's boots for work as a brewer for years, but they always seem to lose their waterproofing and fall apart after only a few months. As a brewer I work in a very wet environment and with a variety of chemicals which can really wear down my work shoes. These boots, however, have been super durable and the best pair I've had! Been wearing them for about 7 months now and still very waterproof, no cracks around the steel toe, and sturdy. They are a little on the rigid side for a hiking boot, but perfect as a work boot.

Comments about KEEN Men's Omaha Waterproof Boot (Steel Toe):

I can wear these boots all day without discomfort, whether it be sitting, standing or walking long distances or through rough and uneven terrain. Additionally, since their waterproofing has held up trudging through mud, walking in the pouring rain and washing them off with a hose, they're great boots for working outdoors. The extra wide cups in the steel toes provide quite a lot of comfort for wide feet like mine.

Comments about KEEN Men's Omaha Waterproof Boot (Steel Toe):

I've worn these boots almost every day for about 4 months and they are as stiff as the day i got them. I love keen boots and have owned 6 or 7 pair. For whatever reason this particular style is impossible to break in and incredibly uncomfortable.

Gorgeous shoe but even the wide boot was too narrow

Comments about KEEN Men's Omaha Waterproof Boot (Steel Toe):

I have wide feet and, after years of wearing typical shoes, suffer from bunions. I have found extra wide toe box shoes help restore my feet to comfort, but I have been looking for a safety shoe for work that is wide enough. These almost work, but not quite. If you are trying to restore natural toe splay, see if you can try them on in the store before purchasing them. It is helpful to remove the insole, place the insole on the floor and stand on it. If your toes are contained on the surface, they should work. Then, try the boot on to check it out. This will help with sizing. Hope this helps.
