  • This boot runs small and the steel toes are even smaller

The boots run small, especially in the toe box.

    Great work boot!

I have bought 3 pair of Mt Vernons for work. I can put 15,000-20,000 steps on these a shift, and my feet and ankles, which have always been a mess, are in decent shape. I do change out the insoles for something with a little more arch support(SuperFeet Orange) They wear well, and break in easy. Oil refinery work is not the easiest on boots. These stand up to the best.

    Comfortable but not well made

    2

These are the most comfortable steel toe boots I have ever had. With that being said they are poorly made. The first pair I purchased had a hole in the side of the right boot. The soles also cracked from side to side under the heel a little after the hole. I received a new pair with the warranty and this pair lasted about 4 months before a hole wore in the same spot and the soles cracked in the same spot. For the high price on the boots I expected a lot more life out of them. I usually get 8-12 months out of pair of boots from other manufacturers.

These work boots 🥾 rock ⛰ on the water ⛴

Keens have been my go to boot for my work in the maritime industry for the last 6 years. Solid feeling boot. Great on wet and slippery surfaces. They look substantial but feel and wear relatively light on my feet. I like the upper eyelets where you can choose to lace em through an enclosed hole or alternatively hook em through an open ended lace hook. My feet are between a 14-15 and usually I get 14 in athletic shoes and 15 in dress shoes. But with the Keen work boots I need 15s to accomadate me lengthwise. I double up on the socks and the fit is perfect. Comfortable on my feet all day. And full disclosure I get lots of compliments from co-workers and passers by. Another solid Keen purchase

I work heavy road construction. These boots hold up to all conditions comfortably. I have 4 other friends that are currently wearing them

    Leaky soles

    2

I bought a pair of these a month ago and really liked them for the first 3 weeks, then it rained. The right boot leaks through the sole. The bottom of my foot gets wet just walking across the wet grass. I see at least one other had a similar problem so this isn't an isolated incident. I do work a little crouched and/or kneeling next to equipment so maybe the soles can't handle the flexing? Don't know. I have had the same leaks with other brands and was hoping for a fix with Keen.

Had 3 pairs of mt vernons, best work boots ive ever had, though a flaw in the stitching happened after 3 months of my 2nd pair keens warranty dept was quick to respond and replace them

unless the Cleveland style is brought back I would buy again

    3

the design seems durable, the boot is lacking comfort and support, I purchased replacement foot bed from Keen(utility k 10) , hoping this will improve comfort. I prefer the Cleveland style boot however they are no longer available.

    Brewer, Maine

No boot compared to my my vernon's for comfort

Electrical maintenance at a brick plant on my feet for 12 hours a day for 60 hours a week, covered in lime and other chemicals and live the boots, though my newest pair only lasted 4 months, keen replaced them from a stitching busting loose, my other pair lasted over a year and I only replaced them cause I have boot allowance, virtually no break in and I'll never work without them on my feet, thanks to the people at keen

I will NOT be buying Keens anymore.

    2

I bought a pair of these back in June of this year. For six years I have preached Keens. But sadly this is the last pair I'll be buying. I didnt start wearing the boots until 2 months ago, and the right boot leaks from the sole (I live in Oregon, rain...) No, I didn't step on anything like a nail to puncture the sole. So from now on, Ill be giving all my support to our other local boot company, there warrenty is solid. Good Bye, Keen, wish it didn't end this way.
