I just received my second pair of these now. They are comfortable out of the box, waterproof, insanely grippy, and fairly light for a steel toe. I am a equipment technican by trade and can find myself in a variety of enviroments and precarious positions. These are much less clunky than some steel toes I have had in the past, and breathe well in the summer. They also do well in the cold, the toe box is fairly wide so you can wear a much thicker sock when needed. These mostly seem to hold up well for what I do. That said, the reviews about soles cracking are spot on, my first pair is 14 months old and starting to show a slight crack. I go through a pair of boots a year normally anyway, and these are down to about 30% tread. I do wish they lasted longer, but with the soft, slip resistant soles, that is a trade off that is expected. All in all a good medium duty boot, and made in Portland! I would like to see an expansion in the line of boots coming out of Portland since they all seem to share the same sole, but for now these are working.
