We've been wearing this boot model for going on 4 years now. My step dad and I are both blacksmiths. We fry boots fast. However, our Milwaukee's have held up great. Many times, we rub through the toe from kneeling down and welding, but with KEEN Protect toes they resist the holes that the concrete tries to chew in them! The steel toe holds its purpose, I've dropped a lot of heavy steel on my feet and I've still got all 10 toes. I really like the material between the lacing and the toe, it's a really tough rubber substance. We've got plenty of burns, but no burn through!

The biggest selling factor of this style for us is that they're so comfortable. I sold shoes for many years (before the blacksmith gig) and these are the most supportive and comfortable work boots I've ever worn. We do a lot of standing and walking. My step-dad has had his feet broken numerous times from horses stomping on them and these boots give him no issue.

I don't know if it is just me or the boots but I just can't stand in them long before my feet start to hurt and unfortunately I stand a lot at work and I go home at the end of the day in pain. Another thing that should be noted is that these boots are very bulky, and that is not a complaint just a simple observation. While that is great for the folks in the cold climates or who don't really deal with extremes, here in the Arizona heat especially if you work on/around pavement I do not recommend these. They're good boots but not for this line of work. The big sole/tread make driving vehicles and operating heavy equipment a challenge also...especially when they're still stiff and not broken in.

Comments about KEEN Men's Milwaukee 6" (Steel Toe):

Purchased these boots 3 months ago and being an electrician I depend on comfortable and durable work boots and expect to pay a decent amount for them. I also expect to get close to a years use out of them which didn't happen with these boots. The entire sole of the left boot separated from the upper part completely while at work not to mention the eyelets that the laces wrap around broke off on both boots. I really was disappointed to spend this much for them not to last.

Comments about KEEN Men's Milwaukee 6" (Steel Toe):

I'm a commercial electrician and these boots are still going strong after 14 months. So many people I work with have steel showing through their chewed up leather toes, not with these. Super comfy and wide for my feet. Replaced my laces around 9 months which is understandable to me. I've worn the tread down now and will be buying another pair. Don't think I can have this pair re-soled but if so I think they would last another year.
I guess the only con I can think of is the weight, but to have such a bomb proof boot something has to give.

        Thanks Keen!
