  • comfy boot, but toe cover is tearing apart.

    1

i've had these boots a little over a year and they are tearing up the sides on the toe cover. as an engineer, most days these boots stay tucked under my desk. so if they are not good enough for me, i can't imagine them lasting even a month for someone doing real work. don't buy this boot or any other keen booth that uses that plasticy rubber material.

Splitting around banding front of shoe

    2

I wish I had read the reviews before I got burned twice. I bought the first pair in less than 6 months banding around the front of the shoe split right where the shoe bends a lot when you are walking , foot on the accelerator if you drive alot etc. . I guessed it was just a fluke so I bought another pair because they are comfortable and are water proof, but it was not a fluke second pair did the same in less than six months. I do not know if all KEEN products are this way but I went to another brand for my next pair.

    Very disappointed

    1

I bought these boots thinking good thoughts like all my past Keens. If you work as a machinist tromping around in metal chips these will not hold up at all. The toe box area is shredded, letting in more chips and coolant. They were comfortable. Hard to put on cause don't open up very far, almost impossible with a recovering sprained ankle. I will buy another keen boot, but not these!

I would not re-purchase the Louisville 6" Steel Toe

This is the only boot I've purchased that I had a problem with. The "wrap around" black nylon cover cracked severely after about six months, the boots leaked, and I stopped wearing them. I just purchased the Minot 600G Boot that has that same nylon material sewn into the leather. I hope these boots don't crack six months down the road......I can't afford it. Russ

    verdict still out

    4

worst thing about them is they are difficult to put on . In fact impossible without a shoehorn because there is no loop to pull on. This might have something to do with the internal metatarsal guard. I hope this will improve with age. Once on however they fit well and are quite comfortable right out of the box.

Boots are very comfortable after break in. They are by far the best boot I have worn but unfortunately for the work I do,the soles broke down within 6 months. They literally were deteriorating. If u work in a building or a place that has flat surfaces then I recommend these boots but if anybody that works for a railroad and need great boots for walking on ballace(rocks) then these boots are not for you. Keen please change the sole of these boots to with stand walking on rocks. I sent pictures to the keen warranty department and they are by far the best warranty department I have ever dealt with, they really stand by the 1 year warranty, after about 3 days of response time and me sending pics I had a brand new different boot ordered

Nice boot, not as comfortable as I had hoped it would be for my 12 hour shifts.

Item arrived on time and was exactly what I needed. Very comfortable. Taken a few days to get broken in. Will see how they hold up. Great so far!!

In my 5th pair of these and won't wear anything else

I work in a automotive manufacturing plant and do a lot of walking on cement floors and in even floors. These boots are the best. I've owned other good boots like wolverines and red wings but nothing can compare to the comfort of these boots. They fit like a glove and at the end of the day my feet are not sore or tired. Great for every day wear to town and yard work too!
