  • Nice boots - stiff at first, but nice

    4

These boots are a bit stiffer than the other Keen boots I have owned and require some break in, but they are comfortable right out of the box. I like the thick leather construction and the stiff sole and heal is good while working on and climbing ladders.

I work on a oil and water soak floor So the traction is good comfort not the best and I don't care for the top lace hooks at all

Yes I would buy these boots again

    4

The boots fit well and seem well made. They do require a break in they are stiff and painful around the top for a few days. I work in a factory they are the best slip resistant boots I have worn. My only complaint it I think there is to much padding around the top of the boot and tongue.

Very comfortable well built boots. 3 month review

I work at a steel mill and am on my feet most of the day. These boots are comfortable out of the box and stay that way. The boots are wide in toes so that the steel toe is comfortable and really not noticeable. I would highly recommend these boots to anyone considering them.

In desperate need of a tread pattern change

    3

I've had these boots for almost a year now. They're super rugged and comfortable. Small issue right out of the box with the tongue pinching the liner against my ankle bone, no big deal once I figured out how to make sure the liner is folded in against the tongue correctly as I lace them up. I'm also on my 3rd set of laces. The biggest problem I've had with these and a potential deal-breaker, is the ridiculously tightly knit tread pattern on the sole - I'm a carpenter in the Northeast, and every time I work or even walk in snow I end up an inch taller from the snow building up in the treads, and they don't have good traction. I recall noticing a similiar issue with the Pittsburgh when I had a pair. If not for this issue I would stick with these boots and the Pittsburghs indefinitely, but unfortunately I might have to resort to going back to Merrell and their poorer build quality just for the traction factor in the elements.
