I have taken these boots through mountains, through the desert, from Oregon all the way to Louisiana, these boots have hiked, biked, AND kayaked (Yes, I have stood in water past my ankles in these boots and haven't gotten the slightest bit wet) and these boots are AMAZING. They've kept my warm when it's cold out and they don't get uncomfortable when it's hot out. I recommend them to my friends and family and I'll recommend them to you, stranger reading this review. If you walk, if you kayak, and if you are well-known for having cold feet then you need these shoes.

These boots are extremely comfortable and have good warmth. Great for walking, or sitting on the ice fishing. The only flaw I have experienced are the lace hooks break off easily. I've owned these boots for 1 year, and 3 lace hooks have snapped out of one boot. Design flaw, or just one defective boot? If this hadn't happened, I would have an additional pair for backup!

boots are very comfortable but the threads where your toes bend start falling apart after a couple months you think keen would address the issue after a warranty claim several years in a row

Comments about KEEN Men's Durand Polar Waterproof:

My feet are always cold in the winter unless I'm moving. I've tried various boots with high insulation, but these were typically really heavy and my toes would get cold. After some further research, I came across the Keen Durand Polar boot. Given how much lighter they are than other insulated boots, my expectations were low. Now after two years, these are my primary winter hunting boot. Great for hiking around or staying still in the stand. My toes are finally warm even when out in single digit temperatures.

Comments about KEEN Men's Durand Polar Waterproof:

I received a pair of Durand polar boots for Christmas. I have worn them every day since then in temps ranging from minus 53 to plus 40 degrees (actual temp not wind chill). They required virtually no break-in, very comfortable from day one. After 60 days of hard usage they show little if any wear. The laces were of very poor quality, I had to replace them after about six weeks. The minus 40 rating is a stretch at best. My feet were cold after 10 minutes at -53 and I got about 45 minutes at -40. The water proofing is surprisingly good. Overall I am pleased with them.
