First Keens I've ever bought for a deployment in Afghanistan almost four years ago and I have worn them on deployments/missions for over three year now... they still wear like they are brand new. I have owned other Keen shoes (low top hikers) since buying the Durands that were not as durable but the Durands have served me well. I intend to buy another pair even though I don't need them yet. My only word of caution is that they are not water proof... more like moderately water resistant but certainly not rain boots. They will keep your feet dry in a light shower or walking through very shallow water (puddles under one inch). They also tend to make my feet sweat a lot but foot powder helps mitigate that. I would not recommed these boots for extended use in snow but they are generally good for most weather conditions.
