  • Awesome boot

For me, it fit true to size. So when Keen suggested to half size up I did. Had to send back but customer service handled this with ease and sending me another pair of boots. I bought these really based on the fact that they're built here in the USA. Only have had'em bout one month now. No complaints.

    Not waterproof

These boots are pretty comfortable and good for trail walking. If you plan to chase big giant bucks in rough train (NW Arizona) you will need more support. Early one morning we had a dusting of snow and these boots got wet quickly, feet got soaked. Note to self always pack dry soaks and a backup pair of boots. Disappointed 👎🏿

    I would buy again.

This is my third pair of Keen Durand. Every pair I have owned has fit and felt great from day one. I have had no issues with this shoe I just wear them out over time. Hope they are not discontinuing this model.

My finicky husband wears them everyday

I followed the admonition to order a 1/2 size up and it worked out great. The husband has been obsessing over boots for the last three months so I just said I was sick of hearing about it and bought him these online. He wanted US made boots. Judging from the fact that I haven't heard a peep out of him, he is happy.

    A decent lightweight boot

Use - everyday wear and hiking. Plusses - light weight and easy to lace. Minuses - needs more cushion in the insole. Bottom line - I prefer the MT Vernon.

    NOT waterproof!

This is my husband's 4th pair of Durand mid high and we couldn't be more disappointed! The other pairs gave him about 1,000 miles each without great complaints, but this pair failed after less than 3 weeks. We were out today for a 7 mile hike in 2-3 inches of new snow and he came back with absolutely soaked feet. The uppers melted the snow and soaked right through on both boots. So disappointed! Keen, you let us down.

Supremely comfortable for wide feet - used for Nepal trek

    5

I have used these boots for numerous US treks but took them for a month of trekking to Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal. I had no foot issues. No other shoes are as comfortable or as wide fitting for my EE feet. Other brands claim they are wide fitting but almost none are. Would not hesitate to recommend these boots to a friend with wide or normal feet.

    Good product

I wear my shoes every day almost. I'm a ups driver so they are my life saver! The only thing that keeps reappearing in the stitching on the top of the toe keeps coming apart. Other than that they rock!

    Good product - bad foot.

My old Targhee II mid wide boot had better heel relief than my new Durand mid wide boots. Also, my old Targhee II boots gave me but little points of stress (which disappeared after being broken in). These new Durand mid wide boots give me stress from a pressure point on the right foot. The cause of this is a protruding bone below the little toe on the right foot which was caused by years of wearing improper fitting shoes. The little toes have been bent inward which causes the bone joint below the little toe to protrude a little. The leather in the Targhee II boots is soft enough that I had near total relief by removing the shoe laces from the last pair of eyelets near the toes. The leather in the Durand boots is stiffer, and so may take a longer time to break them in. I have no trouble with the left boot.
