    Comfy & Durable

I've only used this on a rainy day stroll around town (so far), but it was comfortable to walk in and held up great in the rain. Kept my feet warm and the black boot is easy to style. I normally wear a 10 in footwear and the 10 fit me perfect with a little extra room for thick socks.

    overall a good boot

The fit is true to size. I am normally 8.5-9. I got these in 8.5 and I am very glad I did not size up. 8.5 is perfect, even with thick socks, and 9 would have been too big. They are very warm, but a little stiffer than I would have liked since I wear them all day at work. I also wish they were a bit easier to slip on without loosening the laces all the way down every time, but I realize you can't have it all in one perfect boot. Overall I am happy with the purchase so far. I like that they are waterproof leather since all of my snow boots made from rubber would crack and split open after a couple winter seasons.

I wear these out in the snow and in the rain. They keep my feet warm and dry. I like the fit as well, I ordered an 8 and they fit perfect with my thick winter socks.

Not as cute nor as comfortable as the first Elsa boot

Disappointed in this boot. Not as warm, very little lining in the toe box, plus the toe box is smaller- which is the exact opposite of what I expect with Keen. The ankle area of the boot is less flexible and also doesn't lace as tightly as the previous version, making this boot move around/feel sloppy on my foot. In addition to all of that, the eye appeal of this boot is gone. Truly, the only thing good about this boot is that it's keeping my feet dry. If I could return it after wearing it, I absolutely would. Thumbs way down.

Cute and comfy, but with flaws

A little background info: I live in the backcountry of Park City, Ut where we get 12 ft of snow on an average year. Snowmobile access only. I wore the original Keen Elsa boots for 2.5 winters as my primary boot until recently when they failed to be waterproof. They were fantastic, except for the fact that the lining separated from the outer rubber and developed a hole in both boots. I figured this would be something I wouldn't have to worry about with the Elsa IIs. Well, not the case. I have had the Elsa IIs for 30 days now and already the lining has failed. There seems to be a layer between the fleece and rubber that has separated and rolled into several ridges of fabric. I can't lay the lining flat because the fleece is still in tact. Unless I wear very thick socks, which makes the boots very tight, I feel the painful ridges and they create a blister on my heel. Pros: - Warm! Also, the comfy fleece lining makes it easy to slip on and off. - Very comfortable after being broken in. - Cute!! - Definitely waterproof. Cons: - Because the fleece lining is so slick, my heels slip around in the boots, which may be why the lining rolled up and failed. My heels start to hurt after walking more than a mile. - Leather doesn't seem to be very tough. I like the worn look, but scratches and creases appeared immediately. - Initially very tight across the stitching on the top of the boot. The original Elsas were tight here as well. They have since broken in. - Sole is not very grippy. I have to be careful on slick surfaces, which is too bad considering these are a winter boot. - Obviously, the lining failure is a HUGE con since they are now too painful to wear with anything other than thick socks. I'm so bummed about the lining. I didn't read any reviews that mentioned this flaw, otherwise I would not have bought them. I'm now looking for another brand of winter boot. I won't be buying another Keen winter boot with the fear I'll run into this lining issue again.

    Super comfortable, light and sturdy

Continuing Keen's attention to quality and sturdy shoes, this boot has been amazing walking in torrential rain and puddle jumping with my toddler. Super comfortable lining, support and cushioning while keeping feet warm without extra weight of a heavy snow boot. Highly recommended.
