I bought my first pair of Keen shoes recently for a hiking holiday in Scotland. As I have very wide feet, it is difficult to find good hiking shoes that fit, but these Keen fitted beautifully (I am a 9.5 but opted for a 10, which fits great). My main concern, apart from the width, was how waterproof they would be. In Scotland, I walked through shallow streams, deep puddles, and waterlogged hillside and they didn't let a drop of water in. Extremely comfortable and waterproof - my only slight reservation is that they are slightly heavy, but that also means they are more durable, so worth it. Certainly didn't affect my hiking.
