Haven't worn them enough to render a conclusion, but this is what I have noticed so far. Overall, they are roomy upfront and comfortable, but I noticed there is no interior lining like other Keen shoes/boots I have purchased, which not only make for a more snug fit, but keep the top of the foot and toes from rubbing on the leather (?) inside of the boot. Also, the bottom is a bit soft--I can feel rocks, etc. through them. I suggest making the sole out of something a little more dense.
