  • Stitching failed after a year

Similar to other reviewers, these were fine for just about a year, and then the stitching on both boots came loose. Now out of warranty, but only just. While I appreciate that the legal warranty is 1 year, I expect Keens to last longer (generally mine have lasted around 3 years.) Disappointed, and would not recommend anyone buys this model. Try one of the older designs maybe?

    Definitely not waterproof

Wanting a pair of lightweight waterproof Boots for Spring/Summer, I thought I could not go wrong , particularly as Cotswold had them on discount. Lightweight - Yes Smart looking - Yes Comfortable - Yes Waterproof - most definitely NOT It does not even have to Rain, just walk through long wet grass and they soak up the moisture. My 4th pair of Keen walking footwear and very disappointed

    Mine leaked too...

I'm afraid my experience is similar to other reviewers, albeit I do find the boots very comfortable - but I knew that they would be, I have 7 other pairs of Keens, after all. Leaking in both boots after a 45-minute low level walk, only .75 miles of which were actually wet falls short of the standard expected of one of Keen's premium lines. I have received a credit after going through the Keen Warranty process, but I would rather have a pair of waterproof boots, as advertised.

    Probably not

Had this boot 1 year and 12 days. Up till then boot was performing ok,nice and comfortable. Was out doing a long walk(6.5hrs). Day ended up miserable with rain for about 4hrs. Got back to car and stitching on both boots ,crease line on insides had burst. Feet were wet so not a happy chappie. Went in past shop I got them from and because it was over the year(by 12 days) they did not want to know. Surely boots should last for more than 1 year.

Crippling and are they really waterproof?

    1

Ok, I know they are new boots but I have never had this problem before. The fit is fine and wore them with hiking socks but on a 8km walk which I do every morning I received a massive heel blister on each foot which has stopped me walking. This is not what I expected from Keen. When I feel inside the boot there is a ridge around the heel areas that no doubt caused these blisters. I'm not sure if trying to 'break in' these boots gently will help as its difficult to just go for short walks and then have to change footware. I am also not convinced about the waterproof claims as when walking through grass I felt moisture on the top of my feet and I can only surmise that there is no membrane inside the small 'joining flap' between the boot and the tongue... I know as a leather boot they are stiffer than suede/mesh ones but I am not sure I will be able to live with these.
