This shoe fits perfectly. I have wide, flat feet, but also thick feet. I also need plenty of space in the toe box because of an injury. The heel is high enough to keep my foot in place, but not so stiff as to cause blisters. In fact, it feels like the shoe is cupping my heel in a loving way. I was only able to achieve this by replacing the elastic lace with regular tie boot laces from an old pair of Keens. My feet sweat, so having the breathability is key. As the shoe ages, I recommend increasing the thickness of your sock, especially in the heel and toe areas. Otherwise, I've been wearing mine for years on all sorts of terrain--from concrete retail floor to root-studded trails--almost daily. I still find them to be the most comfortable and versatile shoe I've ever worn, and I've owned plenty of Keens over the years!
