Revel All Winter in the Revel IV Polar Boot
Outside doesn't stop because it's cold. Find out what makes the best damn winter boot for getting out (and staying out) there.
Revel All Winter in the Revel IV Polar Boot
Even when winter is doing its worst, there’s still so much fun to be had outside. If you’re itching to get outside in the ice, snow, slush, and mush, we’ve got just the boot for you.
You know when the mercury hits rock bottom, and mailboxes, picnic tables, and parked cars all disappear into gentle mounds of white snow? That’s when it’s Revel time. As in, “revel in what winter has to offer.” What does winter have to offer? Punishing cold and hazardous stretches of ice, sure, but also stunning snow-blanketed vistas, bluebird skies, and memories you’ll daydream about for years to come.
WARMTH + TRACTION = BEST WINTER EVER
FANS SAY: “I just completed a trip to Colorado with these boots. I wore them for several hours in ankle deep snow and my feet never got wet or cold. They are great in the snow when combined with snow pants or gaiters. Lastly they were so comfortable I even wore them on a 10 hour drive home.” - Chris H.
To truly revel in the winter wonderland, you need to solve for two big problems: extreme cold (even frostbite, yikes) and super-slick icy surfaces (slam your tailbone on the ground once, and you’ll never, ever forget the feeling). The Revel is all about mega traction and mega warmth, suited to the hardest of hardcore winter weather. Plus, you can easily snap it into a snowshoe for even more options this winter.
FANS SAY: “I've hiked nine 5,000'+ peaks in the White Mountains this past year in horrific storms above alpine, and these boots are in just as good condition as the day I bought them. They are by far the best pair of hiking boots I have owned.” - Abinadi
WHAT MAKES THE BEST DAMN WINTER BOOT
FANS SAY: “They are completely 100% waterproof. Even stood in a river to test them out and not a drop came in. That was when they were brand new, and thing is, even now, being all scuffed up 5 years later...still waterproof and just as comfortable. Feels like I'm wearing slippers.” - Sam
What makes Revel so ready for the worst bits of winter? A few things:
KEEN.WARM Recycled P.E.T. insulation: 400 grams of insulation = the comfiest your feet ever felt in super cold temps. Made from recycled plastic, this insulation is rated for temperatures as low as -40ºF/C so you’ll never reach the point of the dreaded “I can’t feel my feet.”
Heat Trapolator: This triple-layer insulation works to trap heat and hold warm air underneath your foot, so cold can’t seep in from the frosty terrain beneath.
KEEN.Polar Traction: This outsole technology digs in like nothing else. Microscopic shards of glass filament embedded in the outsole give you crazy traction, “biting” in even on slick, icy surfaces.
KEEN.DRY waterproof, breathable membrane: Because nothing makes you want to turn around and go home like cold, wet feet. Our fully-waterproof membrane keeps moisture outside, where it belongs.
FANS SAY: “Winter Storm Jonas, blizzard of 2016 in NY-3+ foot drifts, wind, cold, wet. These boots are great, was able to stay outside for quite a while shoveling, snowshoeing, etc. A very well made and comfortable boot, kept my feet warm, dry and happy!!!” - Alan
WHERE FANS WEAR ‘EM
FANS SAY: “The insulated insoles really do a good job keeping my feet warm. I'm outside in PA working construction and was struggling with cold feet no amount of quality wool socks seemed to work, solved that problem the first day I wore these. As a bonus, they fit great are unusually light for winter boots and allow for good agility up on the ladder or roof.” - Paul G.
Fans wear the Revel all winter long, both for work and play. They wear them to shovel snow in the driveway and take care of winter business in the yard, then build a snow fort with the kids in the park or head out on a snowshoeing expedition. Our fans who work outdoors tell us they love to wear these tough-as-nails boots on the job site.
THE REVEL FAMILY
Revel III Boot
A boot that fears no snowdrift, hailstorm, or overnight freeze. KEEN.DRY waterproofing and 200g KEEN.WARM insulation combine to keep your feet warm and dry (because in rain and snow, warm and dry feet are happy feet). The burly lug outsole wraps over your toe for extra protection, but the overall feel is light and streamlined like a hiker. Clip on gaiters when conditions call for them.
Revel IV Polar Boot
All warmth and traction, no bulk. That’s why we call it the best damn winter boot. The Revel IV Polar Boot combines the agility of a lightweight hiker with the enveloping warmth of your favorite puffy coat. KEEN.Polar Traction bites into frozen terrain for exceptional grip on both snow and ice. These winter boots are made for 12-hour days in frigid weather with up to 400g of recycled P.E.T. insulation (in the tall boot), heat-trapping materials underfoot, and gaiter clips to add even more protection.
Let the others stay inside and add logs to the fire. No matter the weather, there are still hikes to be hiked, mountains to be climbed, backcountry to be explored. This year, we hope you revel in all the joys of winter (and shovel snow if you have to).
