I have had two pairs of Targhee water proof boots. Since I hike in Arizona now, I didn't need water proof boots so I bought the vented boot. The boot was not the same. The sole was extremely thin and on my first hike of 6 miles I felt every rock. Came back with sore feet and legs. I had to send them back which was not a problem. They shouldn't use the Targhee name and change the design of the product especially the sole. If you want the Targhee type boot that is vented and not water proof but you want the same heavy sole you order the Voyageur.
