This waterproof hiking boot keeps your feet dry and lets them breathe, and the aggressive outsole bites into the terrain. It's built for all-day comfort, and the mid-cut height adds ankle support.

  • 4mm multi directional lugs
  • Contoured heel lock
  • KEEN.Dry waterproof breathable membrane
  • Torsion stability ESS shank

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

I'm an 11.0 size mountaineer with an Alexander foot (longer second toe) who needs a wider toe box than the common hiker brands provide. I bought these after trying them out at REI and found them to be just what my feet ordered. First use was a month later on the ~37 mile 3day approach to Plaza De Argentina on way to Aconcagua summit (Success), and then again the 22 mile out in one day from Plaza De Mulas. The shoes held up very well on the many jagged volcanic rocks and river crossings. Feet stayed dry and comfy. I get a half size larger to account for swelling and thicker socks. Slight delamination on the interior of the shoes where the sole attaches to the body which Keen rapidly replaced with a new pair. Recommend that the next design provide a line of stitching at that interface that does not allow an entry point for liquids. Might be a challenging design call. GREAT SHOES GREAT. KEEN ACCOUNTABILITY AND SERVICE. Bueno!!

I generally wait at least 3 months before ever writing a review, because let's face it, most things are going to, or should be great when you first get them, and I actually wish more reviewers would consider this. Just under 4 months ago I purchased these boots and I absolutely love them. They are by far some of the most comfortable boots I have ever owned. They may be laced up to be snug without being or feeling too tight. I feel confident and stable when walking on rocks or boulders. Traction seems good on wet surfaces. I like the "wider" front of the boot which keeps my toes from feeling cramped. I feel they provide great ankle support. They have kept my feet dry (as they're supposed to). Their easy to get in and out of too. I would certainly purchase another pair in the future even though this morning, one of the eyelets (actually a banded nylon loop) where the shoelace goes through broke... Typically for me, if something actually "brakes" under normal use/conditions... I would give it a 1 star especially since it's less than a year! But only because I love these boots Sooo much, I will give it 3 stars. I called REI this morning and was told to bring them in pickup a new pair under warranty... So all is not lost... I have read in other reviews of this happening as well. I can only hope that KEEN takes note and shares this quality control issue with their manufacturers...

Comments about KEEN Men's Targhee II Waterproof Mid:

I love my keen boots for my job, only boot I've found to be true to waterproof..most comfortable boot I've ever worn however so far not happy with these. Bought not even four months ago and the bottoms are letting go, leaking water into shoe. Tried to get replaced at local show store in which I purchased and they declined to back the product they sold me!! I've owned several pairs of Keens and also referred them to many but now starting to rethink my choices as I am very unhappy with this pair.

Great for hiking and light hunting. Can cover miles per day in them. I tore my second pair and Keen stood by them and and Keen stands by them replaced them for free. On my third pair now.

Comments about Men's Targhee II Waterproof Mid:

After being a Merrill customer for 20 years and having a few issues with the last two pair I decided to try Keen's. I purchased the Targhee II and they looked and felt great. Within two weeks the treads started to separate from the soles. I called Keen and they replaced the shoes with no questions. So far I love the shoes and hope that this was just a one time thing. I do like the fit and feel of these boots. Kudos to Keen for making things right.

    Fourth Pair and Counting

Comments about Men's Targhee II Waterproof Mid:

This is my fourth pair of Keens Targhee boots. I walk outdoors a lot all day, in different conditions. I find them to be very comfortable, and provide good support. I recently had a warranty issue on my latest pair (first time), which Keen resolved VERY quickly, and more than fairly. I go through about a pair a year, and will keep buying this model as long as they make it.
