Boots started falling apart after three months
I have owned a number of pairs of Keens in the past, they have all been great! I am not sure why these feel apart so fast.. I am pretty disappointed with these boots.

A tougher take on one of our best-selling hiking boots, built with a wider fit. Performance mesh upper make it durable and breathable, while reinforced eyelets let you easily adjust the fit.
Gently brush the shoe with a soft bristle brush or hand towel to remove loose dirt and debris. Stains can be treated by lightly rubbing a gum eraser in a circular motion over the location and lightly brushing afterwards. Tough stains can be treated with a mixture of water and a little vinegar on a damp cloth. This process may cause slight discoloration to the area.

I have a very wide foot, and this boot accommodates it surprisingly well. Lightweight yet very well made. Looking forward to hiking this boot through the rainforests of Costa Rica

So far, so good. These boots are the right mix of comfort, sturdiness and flexibility for everyday use. And it is nice to finally get a wide boot at this level, especially in extra durable material. I usually blow apart the toe box of all my shoes, often before I wear out the soles. So far, the fit feels like the whole shoe should wear evenly. Time will tell. Contact me again in a year, and get the 'one-year-of-use' review. I'm hopeful.

I use these shoes everyday in the city. I tend to wear through sneakers/runners in under 6 months, therefore hiking shoes/boots have been the only footwear that have longevity in my world. I fell in love with the Keen Targhee 7 years ago when they fit my feet perfectly, right out of the box. While they are a great fit for my feet, I would always recommend people try different styles before purchasing, to make sure the fit is perfect. Now, onto my review of the Targhee EXP. Positives: Soles and footbed are incredibly comfortable (improved from the old Targhee style) to stand and walk around for long periods of time. Grip on the shoes is also improved from the non-EXP Targhee versions. Lots of snow where I live, and I haven't lost my footing yet! Material used for outer shell appears to be very durable, capable of outlasting the footbed's support system. Will need to wear these in hot summer temperatures, but so far (wearing them for 2 weeks in a Canadian winter) they do not get ridiculously warm when worn indoors, and keep my feet relatively warm in -25C with mild to moderate activity. Negatives: Position of lace loop connecting to heel support are a little low, creating a bite point just below the ankle, on top of the foot. This occurs when first snugging up the shoes, but with some activity, loosens up. Still, this bite point is painful at first if you snug up the laces a little too tightly.
