As someone with wide and flat feet who spent weeks trying on different pairs of hiking boots, these are easily the most comfortable boots out there. The moment that I put them on, I knew that these would be the right pair. I initially bought the Durand WP Wides last year, but within 6 hikes of usage the eyelet at the top of the boot mysteriously fell off. Thankfully, Keen was willing to cover this defect under their 1-year warranty program, but it's a little disconcerting that this happened with minimal usage (less than 40 miles of hiking in the PNW). They are incredibly comfortable to wear, and they make me look forward to hiking. The two reasons that I am giving these boots 4 Stars instead of a full 5 stars are because: The questionable build quality, as mentioned above and The grip on the outsole (bottom surface) of the boot is a ever-so-slightly slippery – I feel confident on most terrains, but occasionally I may slide on some angled rocks. In short, I love these boots and I would recommend these boots anyone with wide/flat feet, but I would keep build quality in mind.
