Comfortable right out of the box with one caveat, pull out the junk inserts that come with and replace with Keen k-20 inserts. Use them for hiking on Hawaiian trails which is very rocky, and weed eating farm. I have another pair of Keen's that are very hot but my feet have not gotten hot with these. Have worn them all day long hiking and working on farm. Have only had them a couple of weeks. Hope they last like my last pair of Keens.

Great boot. Hiking along the Danube now. Three day shipping is a little misleading. If they don't ship Monday or Tuesday it is really 6 day shipping.

Good durable boot for people with bunions.

These are working out great. I have severe bunions so I can only wear Keen and ECCO shoes. I have a pair of all leather Durand's I bought in 2016, but they are not the wide model. They still cause bunion pain even after extensive stretching. I am hoping the soles will hold up -the last two pairs of Voyager's I have purchased have both had very fast wear on the soles.

These might cost a few more dollars, but they hold up much better than my Targhee II's and Targhee XP's. I've had lots of trouble this year with both, having gone through multiple pairs in just a year. The Durand mids seem to go higher on my ankles than either of the aforementioned. The website suggests that these run a size small; now that I've purchased them, I don't really agree with this - they seem to run the same size as the aforementioned shoe lines.

    I would purchase these again.

So far so good. I walk between 2-7 miles a day for my work and so far they're great. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is it's only been two weeks. Size is perfect at 1/2 size larger than normal. I hope they hold up as well as my last pair of Keen hikers. If I had one thing I'd change, it would be a bit softer insole.

I think these are the most comfortable boots I've ever worn. I own about 20 pairs of keen and these were comfortable the first time wearing them.

Using this shoe for a early season hunt. It is one of the best fitting boots I have ever worn. I have an extremely wide foot and 99% of the shoes I get don't fit. Too many years being a beach bum I guess. Time will tell how they hold up but looking great so far. I gave it 4 stars because I like a boot that locks the footbed separate from the upper. When hiking rough terrain you need the footbed tight to keep from getting blisters and the upper somewhat loose to allow good circulation. Not a big issue as I just used an old school square knot. Thanks for making a shoe that fits.

    Great Customer Service! Learned Something!

    5

I got these from the Keen website after a warranty claim for a pair of Targhee III I had bought. I have been a Keen customer for several years and that was my first claim. If you are trying to decide what boots to buy I recommend you shell out the extra bucks for the Durand Mid based on the following criteria..... If you're a big guy! I'm six foot four and I weigh between 240 - 250. I also need a lot of arch support for long days on my feet as a home inspector. Speaking of my job, these boots wear really well and last. I didn't realize it at the time, but my first pair of Keen boot were Durand's and lasted a few years of daily use walking roof's, etc.. The soles wore through before the boots wore out. My subsequent boots were the Tharghee's and I couldn't figure out why I was only getting six months at best. I just thought all Keen boots were the same. They're not! The Tharghee's are probably great for the young, someone below 200 lbs., or just the occasional hiker... Make sure if you want an excellent boot for daily use, you buy these! They will hold up on the job, or provide great comfort for hiking the Appalachian Trail like we do every spring and fall..... By the way.... Their customer service is great and they stand behind their products!
