I have heard of Keen footwear within the outdoor sports industry, and I primarily got them because I have heard tradespeople, and law enforcement say positive comments towards Keen work boots. The Keen Oshawa's are one of the most comfortable/supportive boots I have worn. The toe box is wide, which accommodates my wide forefoot, the insole has a medium arch, and the overall build of the boot is well designed/made. Unfortunately, the durability of the outsole is lacking. After 10 months of use the tread has worn down to the EVA midsole and chunks of rubber have been shearing off the boot. This is after working in security 9 months full time, and 1 month of work in parks environment. Additionally, the waterproof Keen-Dry membrane has deteriorated, and no longer keeps my feet dry in the rain. I would not recommend these boots for trades oriented work. I have worked in construction as a carpenter, and I feel that they will not be able to withstand job site use.
