  • Style #1008419
  • Fit Tip: We hear this style is running about 1/2 size big. We suggest ordering a 1/2 size smaller than your usual size! Fit Guide
Please choose a size!

All the best features of a hiking shoe and a sandal in one comfortable style. Open vents in the waterproof leather provide breathability, and the multi-directional lug outsole bites into tough terrain.

  • 4mm multi directional lugs
  • Heel support structure
  • Secure fit lace capture system
  • Torsion stability ESS shank

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

I essentially wear nothing but Keens on my feet so I wanted something a little more shoe like but still similar to my Newports. For my feet the Newports are the pinnacle of footwear and truly 5 star rated. These are not quite what the Newports are in fit and feel but very good overall. I followed the suggestion to order a half size smaller and that turned out to be correct. I wear an 11.5 in almost all Keens, unless I specifically intend to wear a thick sock with them. Even with a lightweight smart wool sock these are just a little loose in the heel. I've had to snug up the elastic adjustment quite a bit. So my normal 11.5 would have been too loose. If you're not planning to wear socks at all you might even go a full size smaller.

I use this daily as a normal sandal. In addition, I've used them as a off-road hiking shoes. Overall this sandal is very well made, after a year of use, the sole and the outside looks new. But, couple of issues creeped up. (1) One of the sandal started making a chirping noise every step. It got loud to a point where the sandal can't be used. Occasionally, the noise would stop. Keen support wants the date of purchase within 1 year to address the issue, so no luck. (2) Locking mechanism in the bungee lace loses grip fairly quickly. So within the first mile of walk, the lace gets lose and the sandals slips from feet.

He loves them. Each time we go to Disney World, he gets a new pair. Comfortable all day and they dry quickly after the water rides. These are his favorite summer time shoe.

This is my second pair. I love the comfort and versatility. I use them for international travel , jogging, kayaking , everything except snow shoeing. I like the closed toe and heel fir added protection. Unfortunately this version has been discontinued. The new version has an open heel which I don't like.

    Nice shoe, poorly made

Comments about KEEN Men's Arroyo II:

I have hiked less than 60 miles in these so far, on maintained trails. I really like the way they feel and was pleased that they were so comfortable. However, I'm really disappointed with the quality of this shoe. The toe cap on left shoe began separating from the sole after one 8 mile walk. Today I found that a hole has appeared on the interior neoprene lining on the heel strap.

I may try to return these under warranty. I have to say that I am not very likely to look at Keen footwear again because I'm not sure I can rely on them to last longer than a month or two, and they are far too expensive to replace that frequently.
