Fantastic
Half running shoe, half hiking shoe. I've never had shoes hold my foot in place this well, especially the heel. They hold my foot about as well as ski boots. I bought size 15, and as usual for Keen, they're more of a 14.5, which is exactly my size. The sole is rigid, the cushioning moderate, typical for hiking shoes. The tongue on top is also firmly held in place because it's attached to the sides. The toe box isn't too high, and the forefoot is pretty wide, so they don't fight the shape of your feet. These are very, very comfortable. They also seem very robust, but I just had them for half a day. I was a bit worried about weight before getting them, but they're very light. I would've like a sole that is less "cleated", but that's because I'm looking more for a sneaker than a trail shoe. The sole is fantastic for a trail, but not so much for walking on sidewalks or the road. Then again, that's what they're meant for. I think Keen should make a sneakier sneaker... I think these would also be great for turf sports... The grip is amazing.
