KEEN shoes and lunch bags are sold at the Zoo store to fund the care and protection of injured, threatened or endangered wildlife. Further support comes from KEEN donations to Zoo employees and event sponsorship, including Steve Irwin Day. Product Feedback From a KEEN Fan
Tuesday, October 18th, 2011Hello,
I have been using the A86 TR’s for a couple months now, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them!!!
One of the features I really want to to praise your shoe designers for is the decision to go with asymmetrical lacing; this is such a huge, huge advantage in comfort and support. It allows me to apply a good amount of lacing tension around the foot to provide a responsive, glove like fit.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THESE SHOES!!

My Keen identity: Genoa Peak WP, Newport H2 Sandals And Florence Flip-Flops
Friday, October 14th, 2011Dear KEEN,
My name is Kristin and I have been wearing KEEN Newport Sandals for the past six years. They are my go-to sandals whether I am going to the river, beach, on a hike or just walking around the city. That is why I turned to KEEN before I headed off to South America for nine months.
Prior to this trip, I graduated from University with a Soil Science degree and decided to take a year break before facing the inevitable job search. My boyfriend and I needed gear for our South American adventure that we could rely upon for a decent price. That is why I purchased Genoa Peak WP, Newport H2 Sandals and Florence Flip-Flops. I instantly found comfort, stability in my Genoa Peak Trainers. It was great to have a shoe that has a bit of flex in the sole, solid for hiking, walking and best of all waterproof. With my three pairs of shoes Genoa Peak WP Cross Trainer, Newport H2 Sandals and Florence Flip-Flops, I was set for my nine month South American adventure.

My three functional, comfortable, affordable, stylish shoes traveled with me from San Francisco, California to Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Ecuador. My Genoa Peak WP Cross Trainers made it possible for me to hike the Incan Trail to Machu Picchu, hike to the depths of the deepest canyon in Peru, walk across the desolate Bolivian salt flats, volunteer at an organic farm, and hike in many National Parks while keeping my feet dry, cool and comfortable. I found my Newport H2 Sandals to be extremely versatile from day hikes to bike riding to visiting the Galapagos Islands and Amazon Rainforest. Whiles my Florence Flip-Flops made me not only feel a bit fashionable with the fancy straps and flower button but allowed me to walk the sandy beaches in Uruguay and keep my feet safe in showers.
These are just a few of the amazing stops during me nine month travels.
I wanted to thank the KEEN for proving my feet with comfort, support and durability. You continue to reassure my trust in KEEN to be the best possible and diverse shoes on the planet. I will continually support KEEN in future shoe purchases.
Before leaving South America from Quito, Ecuador to head back to California I donated my “broken-in” shoes to three women who walked the streets barefoot and farmed in the fields. They were very appreciative and will hopefully find as much love (if not more) out of those shoes. Oh, the places my feet have gone; I guess I should say, the places my KEENs have gone and will keep going!
Sincerely,
Kristin Roberts

Hiker Ready for Your Off-Road Challenges – YMMV Reviews Targhee II
Monday, September 12th, 2011“The Keen Targhee II Hiking Shoes excel in what they are made for; long lasting comfort for the trails ahead. They are a bit of overkill in and around town but comfortable enough to wear there too. The lacing system is enough to keep you foot secure but seems to always feel like my foot is not secure even if that is not the case. I have been happy with the durability these shoes have showed so far, even on the sharp shale and rocky surfaces of the South Sister, the shoes still look great. I would recommend these as an option for a stable hiker for putting in long miles.” By JJ Johnson, YMMV Reviews
Outside Magazine’s Gear Guy: What Are the Best Wet-Wading Shoes?
Monday, August 22nd, 2011Q: WHAT ARE THE BEST WET-WADING SHOES? What’s the best footwear for wet wading while fly fishing?
A: One is to simply buy a pair of all-purpose “water shoes.” Something like the KEEN McKenzie shoes ($90). These are like a low-cut trail-runners or light hikers, but made from water-resistant materials and designed with mesh panels that allow water to drain away. They also have grippy rubber soles and front bumpers to protect your toes.

Never Think About My Feet Anymore – Warm, Cozy, Well Supported and Dry
Saturday, August 20th, 2011“I am a BIG fan – literally and figuratively (size 17). I’m a photographer out of Minneapolis, Minnesota and my wife bought me a bunch of different KEEN shoes and boots. They’ve made an enormous difference for me. As a photographer I walk/hike all the time and I never think about my feet anymore – warm, cozy, well supported and dry. Thanks to your team for making such great shoes and boots. A BIG fan.” – Mark
