  • 4mm multi directional lugs
  • Heel support structure
  • Secure fit lace capture system
  • Torsion stability ESS shank

We've carefully selected leather uppers designed to last. Then again, if you're wearing your KEENs daily, they won't always be scuff and dirt-free. To treat day to day wear and tear, especially on lighter color leathers, we recommend using a leather cleaner and conditioner, found at most footwear dealers and/or shoe repair shops.

These definitely fit more like a shoe (ie the Voyageur) than the other Keen sandals I've had over the years (Owyhee, Turia & Commuter). I wanted something with more of a closed heel, so tried these out.

    Cons:

-Sent the 1st pair back as they were waay large. I'd ordered the 10.5, (I wear a 10.5-11). The 10 is still overly roomy in the toe box, but a 9.5 definitely wouldn't fit my foot length, so I kept them. I should've returned for the Owyhee, which has now appears to've been discontinued )=. Oh well. As long as I'm wearing socks and not doing serious hikes/walks it's fine. I wear the Voyageurs for more adventuresome stuff.

-had a squeak in sole for the first couple of weeks, but it went away (air pocket?)

-after 3 months of almost daily wear, one of the black rubber outsole "fingers" is now loose (outside heel) & minor stitching issues but nothing is loose.

    Pros:

-I live in south Louisiana, so they don't get a lot of up/down/rocky hiking, but I wear there almost daily, do a lot of walking & biking. They've held up well aside from above comment. The usual Keen great comfort out of the box & support.

    - Well ventilated and minimal foot odor, but I usually wear smartwool socks.

-They've been in water & mud, so have a couple of light cycles in the wash & come out fine.

So, due to the wide fit, I won't be ordering another pair of these, but if the black part of the outsole doesn't delaminate more, I expect to wear them the 2-3 years I usually get out of Keen sandals.

I bought my first pair of these about five years ago. They were great! I work them for a year which for me is a long time. But the show lace wore out in the back and the shoe became useless. Luckily keen replaced the shoes via the warranty. The new pair was a disaster. They felt lighter and were just off from day one. Four months into wearing them the laces broke while on a hike. I had to use pieces of jute to the them back together too get off the mountain.

Unenlightened is just a fluke so I bought another pair in my size. When they arrived I was bummed. The bottom was lighter than my first pair. The fabric was stiffer, and they were narrower.I contacted keen and the great customer service I experienced the first time I had problems was gone! I was told they would not help . So the new pair sits in the corner unworn. :( I won't buy this style again. It's sad really I really loved my first pair, it almost feels like I got divorce after a great lover became someone else....

This latest order is my 3rd pair, as with the others, they came a different color than was shown in the picture.(how many guys know what color copper is when the picture shows tan?) Also, buy 1/2 size smaller than your normal shoe size. Very comfortable sandal after short break-in period.

      Keen Arroyo Sandal

Comments about KEEN Men's Arroyo II:

My men's Keen sandals did not meet my expectation. They were worn on a trip for 2 weeks and broke down. They have not been worn since. I would like to replace them. I wear an extra wide shoe. Two questions:

Since the sandals did not perform as expected, can I have them replaced?

Do you have men's keen sandals in extra wide? I usually wear 11 or 11.5

      Thank you

Cool, comfortable, good support but ... the speed lace is always loosening. I had to take them out and replace with traditional laces.

      Great Complement To Newports

Comments about KEEN Men's Arroyo II:

I essentially wear nothing but Keens on my feet so I wanted something a little more shoe like but still similar to my Newports. For my feet the Newports are the pinnacle of footwear and truly 5 star rated.

These are not quite what the Newports are in fit and feel but very good overall. I followed the suggestion to order a half size smaller and that turned out to be correct. I wear an 11.5 in almost all Keens, unless I specifically intend to wear a thick sock with them.

Even with a lightweight smart wool sock these are just a little loose in the heel. I've had to snug up the elastic adjustment quite a bit. So my normal 11.5 would have been too loose. If you're not planning to wear socks at all you might even go a full size smaller.
