Planning an outdoor adventure this summer? Make sure you have the right footwear for any off-road challenges you may encounter. Sarah from TripAtlas.com recently needed some sturdy waterproof shoes for a trip with a friend on the NaPali Coast in Kauai, Hawaii, so she picked up a pair of our Targhee II’s.
Hiking in an area she says looked straight out of a scene from Jurassic Park, Sarah stomped through puddles, climbed boulders, and ascended inclines that were “so mushy that a normal shoe could have been sucked right off.” But that was just the beginning. Read about Sarah’s full journey on the TripAtlas website.
She also had this to say about her KEENs:
What I appreciated most about the boot was the comfort factor. Because I am flat-footed, I definitely appreciate the fact that it’s soft and cushiony on the contact points of the foot. Plus, it has the company S3 heel support system that provides awesome support along the edges. And beyond the pure functionality of the shoe, I love that it’s not your typical brown hiking boot with ugly laces. Instead, it’s a stylish gray with a combo of leather and mesh uppers and hints of pink thrown in.
