Little Man’s First Pair Of Snow Boots: Penelope’s Oasis Blog Highlights Pyrenees Boots for Kids

Monday, December 19th, 2011

“Our little guy loves to run around in puddles, and basically do everything he isn’t supposed to, so the Pyrenees WP winter snow boots will at least keep him warm and dry while he makes us chase after him. The soles are rubber and have good traction, great for those icy patches, and the fact that they are both waterproof and breathable really sold us on it,” comments Penelope on Penelope’s Oasis Blog.

AOL Travel Blog – Gear Suggestions for Holiday Weekend Trips Outdoors

Wednesday, June 29th, 2011

“Should you pack hiking shoes or sandals? Why choose (or deal with lugging them both around) when you can have two in one with the KEEN Kanyon? They dry quickly, are ultralight and provide a closed toe for optimal protection when you’re using them as hikers. The bungee lacing allows for an optimal fit without having laces dangling off of your shoes when you’re out on the trail.” - Mike Barish of Gadling AOL Travel Blog

Keen Harvest II iPad Sleeve: Sleek, Simple Protection

Keen Harvest II iPad Sleeve : Sleek, Simple Protection
By Fancy Green Blog

“Since I recently spent half of next month’s rent on an iPad, I want to keep it scratch-free as long as possible. I’ve been using a case that covers everything but the screen, but I wanted something more protective to use when I’m in transit. KEEN’s Harvest II iPad Sleeve is my new favorite accessory.”

“The first thing that caught my eye about this handy sleeve is its sleek look. It’s slim and smooth, like a padded envelope. The material, repurposed neoprene, is soft and squishy; it’s also stretchy, making it easy to insert and remove my iPad. All I have to do is slide in my iPad, and pull the top “hood” of the sleeve over the top if it. It fits perfectly.”

Disney on a Budget: Shopping for Comfortable Shoes
BY CHRISTY ON JULY 27, 2010

When you are heading to the Disney Parks, comfortable shoes are a MUST!!! My sister introduced me to Keen shoes about 4 years ago, and now I am IN LOVE!! I remember when I saw her cute shoes and asked here where she got them, she told me “you won’t like them?” I said “but they are so cute and I love that your toes are protected. They aren’t wimply flip flops, but they are still summery.” She then clarified, she told me I would love them because they were so comfortable, but I would NOT love them because of the price (I am a WAY more frugal than my Nordstrom shopping sister).

Keen’s are expensive shoes, but they are so worth it. They are made well, and incredibly comfortable. I started with one pair 4 years ago, and I now own 5 pairs. LOVE THEM!!!! I have also convinced my husband that they are the most fabulous shoes ever and he now owns a pair of Keen hiking boots and a pair of Keen sandals for our trip.

This pair of Keen Paulina slides was my most recent purchase, and the ones I will be wearing on our trip to Disney World.

J the Travel Authority’s ‘More Packing Tips’ Take on Pearl Bag

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

[0408_BWGG_F.jpg]Here’s an expert from J the Travel Authority blog review of the Pearl bag:

This week, I tested this messenger-type bag because I had a lot of networking and workshop events, some all day and others at night, that required me to walk around a trade show floor and meet and greet a ton of people while collecting their business cards, giving them mine, taking notes of our meetings and then running to the next meeting or cocktail party where I had to transform into the non-itinerant journalist who would be sipping a glass of Chardonnay at, among other places, the Norwegian Consul General’s residence here in Manhattan.

The Pearl was perfect. When I slung it across my back, I found a zipper compartment — great for pens, business cards and small notebooks — on the left side of the pack (on my back side) but easily accessible while it was still on my back. And, the location prohibited any subway thieves from infiltrating this pocket. Quite an accomplishment. In addition, I stuffed my cell phone into the mesh stretch pocket along the strap, making it also very easy to grab.
