It’s a wrap! We recently completed another year of competing in the BTA’s Bike Commute Challenge, where as a company, we squared off against other local businesses to see how many total employees we could encourage to commute to work by bicycle during the month of September.
Weather wise, it was a breeze as the sun shone in Portland almost all month long and the temperature consistently stayed above 70 degrees. For some of us, however, the distance to the office was another story. While some commutes were as short as two miles to and from work, others were as long as 45 miles round-trip!
Our big winner for the month was Jason Parrish, who commuted a total of 813 miles. Congrats, Jason! As a whole, our company totaled 432 commutes and 4,777 miles.
We celebrated with some Chainbreaker White IPA from Deschutes. Cheers!
