Last month, KEEN Europe began the search to find KEEN testers thoughout Europe. We wanted to find people who are not afraid of the outdoors, eager to share their experiences with other like-minded people, whilst having fun out there testing KEEN Products. The challenge to become a KEEN Tester was simple. KEEN fans were asked to tell us how they would test our KEENs to the Limits by sending us a picture of their Outdoor moment living the HybridLife.
Our expectations were exceed, we received hundreds of entries throughout Europe, from the Scottish Highlands to the sunny beaches of Italy. It was no easy task to select from such fantastic entries the final 20 testers, who for one month will test our shoes to the limits whilst feeding back to us their journey.
A BIG thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations to our winners, we can’t wait to hear back what great stuff they get up to with their KEENs!

Great idea! I took my Winthrop boots to Ireland last January where they had extremely cold weather and slippery conditions. My Keens trekked through Cohb to Dublin for a class trip. The best investment I made all year.
That’s awesome, Cindy. Glad your KEENs worked on the trek through Cohb to Dublin.
When Keen first came out, I went to San Diego for a convention with my husband. I bought the black slip-on sandel. Then they were made I think with leather/neo backed. To tighten you pull the webbing from the buckle. When down south, we walk 15-20 miles a day. Right out of the store my feet never hurt. When I got back home my kids thought they were the grossest shoe ever. The youngest called me from college in Idaho and said; ” Mom, you’ll never believe it. Your ugly shoes you wear all the time, there is a store here and all they carry are those ugly shoes.” I asked her if she would like me to send them to her and she could wear the origionals. My second pair was a pair of slip on Mary-janes. In the winter I wear thermal socks in them. My 3 & 4 pair are slip on sandels like my first ones only they have bungie adjusters. You request testers using keens on adventureous treks, but I know I have put more miles and conditions on mine. I live in North Pole Alaska, I am a Mom, wife, business owner, Aunt, carpenter, mechanic, plumber, gardener, handyman, sno-plower, fisherman, bird-hunter, hiker, I could keep going,(I don’t do electricity) I have my family and friends sold on Keens. I am very rough on just about everything. I am on my 8th lawn mower in 24 years. We have had some of the best lawn mowers, I take care of them but drive them hard. Point is I still wear my first Keens the most. I still have my origional Earth shoes from the sixties. Like my Earth shoes I believe my Keens will be with me a very long time. I’m the kind of person people who know me laugh when ever I’m offered an extended warranty. Keen shoes have passed the test of time with me. Anyone who knows me knows that that is extremely amazing. 100 above to 60 below 0, water or snow. Just thought you should know.
Thanks so much for the kind note on our blog. Love the analogy of “100 above and 60 below 0.”
