WEND Friday Photo: Sandy Cycling

We couldn’t have picked a better theme for the August Friday Photo contest, because looking at pictures of bikes never gets old! This picture, shot by Ryan Whisner in Namibia, captures the essence of traveling with your bike: it’s never easy. It’s clear from this photo that when it comes to cycling, as Ryan puts it, “sand = bad.”

For his great shot, Ryan scores a pair of KEEN cycling shoes.

About the Friday Photo Contest

KEEN and WEND Magazine are featuring cycling inspired photos during this month’s Friday Photo contest. Commuting, trekking, cycling fashion or even just playing around on your favorite set of two wheels, we want it all!

As usual, we don’t want your photographic efforts to go unnoticed, so all Friday Photo winners during the month of August will score a pair of KEEN cycling shoes (Commuter or Springwater). And the grand prize winner at the end of the month will get hooked up with the newest KEEN commuter bag.

Submit your shots to the WEND Flickr pool, shoot an email to  fphoto@wendmag.com with a description and then keep your fingers crossed.
